I have been researching marijuana for quite some time. But what are the downsides or side effects long term short term that have been proven. Any site i find that says its bad seems like their not even scientists or dr's.

The inhalation of smoke and chemicals resulting from improper combustion is not healthy.
This gets really complicated all the way down to how cellular proteins work in the bodies of different people. No one has ever died from using Cannabis. It's impossible to overdose.
If you are weak minded and mentally feel like you become addicted, that's just you. It is scientifically proven that Tetra-9-hydro cannibinols, cannabinoids, or cannabidiols are not physically adictive, it's all a mental state that is alterable with some clear thinking.
If cannabis is used in cooking there are no health risks.
There's a lot of different biological things that are incorporated with the chemical releases and transduction processes that go on in the brain

A lot of studies are actually performed on rats, which may make it difficult to apply research results to human physiology.

Rats and mice are used because their cell structure is similar to the cell structure of a human's brain cells
