same problem, only my thoughts can get pretty dark and depressing at 3:45 am when even the fuckin cat can sleep. Thoughts keep racing, and only a little smoke and some Adult Swim can kill it..

I couldn't figure out any mind-control crap, so I went to a psychologist. I've been in and out of doctors ever since, but the only TRUE medicine in Mary Jane and introspection, man. Good luck.

A technique that was taught to me was breathing through your ears,,,,,im being serious. concentrate on breathing through your ears its a very old zen technique to get you to concentrate, also try visulization...hold a vision in your minds eye and develop it best of luck, im afraid the condition you have is suffered by millions and is a result of modern living

You take what can be described as normal breaths, the point is to concentrate on where the breath is coming from and going to, its rather like concentrating on chi.

Sounds interesting, i have problems getting to sleep alot and i read about this method that is supposed to work for some ..
the brain runs at a certain amount of waves per second when you are awake and when you beggin to fall asleep they start to slow down. Now what you are supposed to do is try and be conscious of these waves slowing down, and try to put all your concentration into this and block out all your thoughts and surroundings, quiet hard to explain and i cant find the link i was reading from... Ive tried it a couple of times , i felt myself relaxing but i snapped out of it after a bit.

seems the only think that works for me is copious amount of ganj and booze lol.

maybe worth a try though.

This may be lame but it works for me... Whenever I toss and turn thinking of problems I just tell myself over and over, "Worry about it during the day, now it's time to sleep." As totally stupid as this sounds, after repeating it in my head several times, I seem to convince my brain to sleep.

its because you smoke before you go to sleep. That happen to me if i smoke bfore i go to sleep. Especially if i already got shit on my mind.

Insomina is a common problem for frequent cannabis smokers. My way round it is a nice bedtime gravity-bong :D
