I can't say for sure how old she is but I think she was a seedling the first part of July @ 24/0 and I started 18/6 light cycle about 3 weeks ago. I had an issue with her wilting away and people said she was overwattered. Now, mind you I appreciate every bit of help I can get from this site so don't take this the wrong way. Come to find out...she was dry as a bone. I am running a 400w HPS in my grow tent with an air cooled hood and I keep the temperature inside the tent around 78 - 81 degrees with a 6" exhaust to the outside and a 4" intake. It's amazing to see this grow from just one little seed. This is my first grow plus I am easily ammused. Thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Can I stay at 18/6 until harvest? Since I went to the 18/6 cycle I have seen about 3/4" per day growth. Again, any idea how long until harvest?
Thanks in advance.

If you stay at 18/6 until harvest you'll cheat your self out of much bud and that famous WW frost in my opinion...

I wish I had a digital camera when I was growing the Widow...:420thought:

How long until harvest and what light cycle do you recommend?

I'm surprised it even started flowering at all under 18/6... amazing.
She looks pretty good!
Drop her down to 12/12 and give her 6 weeks, then start checking your trichomes.
You'll be glad you did.

To dooobster...I went in to change my times on the timer and...DUH! I have been at 12/12 for about 3 weeks. I don't know what I was thinking. Where will my mind be when I DO get a buzz???? How do they look otherwise?
Thanks in advance.

Not bad at all for a first time grow...

Next time, before you start flowering prune some of the lower growth...It'll give the top branches more growth, you'll see...
I guess you should'nt bend the top now,but if you can tie something to it to pull it left or right, you will be able to get your light a little lower to help reach that lower growth...When she gets real frosty, you'll know you're doin' good... Don't over feed her...WhiteWidow does not have the appetite that alot of other plants have...

Wishin' ya an abundant harvest ledsled96!!!:420thought:

PS-The difference of an extra week can really make a difference with Widow and Rhino...If you can take her at least 70 days,I think you'll really enjoy her...

The white strains,(WW,WR GWS,)usually grow with close internodes that look like one bud as they frost up...

As I said earlier,I didn't have a digital camera the last time I did a WW grow, but here's an example of GWS...

Thanks DTRave420 ! I am doing this for me so I can wait as long as I need to. Which part do I prune before flowering? Anything in particular? I am using a 400w HPS. I wish I had started flowering a little sooner. Didn't know she would get so tall, I'll know better next time. She is getting FF Nutes. I have ordered a USB Microscope to aide in checking the trichs. Can you tell about how much longer she needs before harvest? My trichs do not have the "golfball on a tee" appearance yet. Will they change as she matures. Sorry about so many questions. Thanks to everyone for all your help.

I'm sure your doin' fine ledsled...For your first grow,I'd say better than fine...

As far as pruning goes and this is for next time,I like to look at a plant and decide which branches are to low to recieve decent light...I chop these off,(as close to the stem as possible without acually nickin' it), with pruning shears...This will give more energy to the upper branches...Now I look at my remaining branches...If an internode looks to low as to use usless energy for the remainder of that branch,I'll cut that internode off with sharp clean scissors as close to the branch as possible without nickin' it...

Get your scope and relax, your doin a good job...Widow can get pretty stinky,lol...

Hope ya keep postin' ledslide...:420thought:
