The last couple years things seemed to go from bad to worse as I tried to to solve a problem. Typical symptoms began as a slight fading on leaves shortly after going into 12/12, then narcrosis between veins. Not too big of a deal at that time from a quantity viewpoint. But it continued to worsen over time and every attempt to remedy it failed. Eventually the symptoms started showing up on my Moms and Veg plants(which always looked great). I won't go into everything I did but rest assured I checked everything involved over the course of the last 9 grows with no success.
It was time to start over so I cleaned my room with bleach, repainted and removed the carpet. Cleaned everything b4 bringing back into room. Started seeds....after 2 weeks noticed symptoms again. Now I'm really pissed. I know I'm not making mistakes in the growth process, so I decide the only thing left is my air source. The intake to my growroom is from the a\c duct from the house which brings co2 laden air. It took me awhile to find a filter that looked like it would work and a couple weeks getting it. I forget the name, but it's a hepa filter from SunLeaves that looks very much like an air filter from K&N for a car. It was about $90. I installed it on my intake and within 48 hours the vegging plants took off like a bat out of hell and had to be moved to flowering table. I don't know for certain that's it, but it's the first time in over a year anything has been this green and healthy. I'll certainly know in the next 7 to 10 days as they stretch.
LESSON LEARNED: You can do everything right and still fail if you don't check something as basic as the quality of your air.
