I'm a big fan of Amon Tobin, ive got like everything he's done. I love the sound he's taken on in his more recent works combining the more mechanical glitchier noises, with the organic sounds he samples from field recordings while still keeping to his jazzier sounding roots many times. Chaos Theory and Foley Room were great albums, and the Monthly Joint series he has now exclusively on his site is full of some sweet stuff too. Theres also some free downloads of unreleased tracks and live mixes. He's been a big influence on the work I do with my project.

Check the website, its got an interactive feature where you can search through the ocean for "creatures" to sample. Pretty cool. (links to the store and news are on the bottom right)

Any other fans?

There are now. :D

I just checked them out on youtube; curiosity spurred by your post, and I'm liking what I hear. I get so tired of all the bands that just keep emulating what we've already heard, but with their own little twist. It's nice to hear something different. Somehow I think this would only make sense completely on hallucinogens, though.

I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan, but I definitely like Amon Tobin. My fav track by him is Four Ton Mantis. I have Chaos Theory and Supermodified on my ipod.

if you havent heard Foley Room or Out From Out Where, you should totally check those ones... Supermodified and Chaos Theory are good, but they dont quite stack up to Foley Room or Out From Out Where, ... if you like the jazzier stuff heard on Supermodified, i'd say check out Permutations, or Bricolage though, Bricolage is almost a straight up jazz album.
