Harvest, need help.

Now my friends northern lights harvest is ready but as expected, wet as fuck, unfortunately now we have no where to dry it.

I know the process of drying is around 10 days (correct me if I'm wrong) - so, we shall harvest the lot of it and cut the leafs off, trim the little leafs off but seal them in air tight smell proof baggies (XL sized baggies) for storage.

Will leaving them wet/damp in the baggies for a long time reduce the strength/potency of the bud?

If not, could we just dry out the bud a baggie at a time?

Please help, and add any other relevant information would be much appreciated.

So if one was to buy weed, and its damp, how comes that hasn't gone mouldy?

probably b/c its not very old. you're talking about sealing a wet plant in plastic and letting it sit....its going to get moldy, just like bread.

if you have the space to be able to grow, you should be able to find the space to dry...a brown paper bag if nothing else.

you don't want to seal them in anything. the buds need a fresh supply of air in order to dry properly. also i dont know of any air tight baggies other than vacuum sealed ones, which you don't want to use for drying b/c of air supply, they will work fine for storage after you dry them.

ideally you'll want to hang the stems from a string or something and keep them in a dark place with good airflow. one time i took a screen and placed it in my dresser drawer and placed all the buds on that and kept the drawer cracked open...

do a search on drying and curing. read them. take what you learn and adapt to your unique situation.

Dont sell wet weed to people. Geez. I hate dealers like that, thats shitty buisness. Manicure the plant and then dry it in a box turning the buds twice a day. if you can have a fan pulling air out it will be dry in 3-4 days. Smoking wet bud does not get you high. your wasting bud. Yes selling wet bud seems tempting cause you could have a main cola weighing 60 grams wet, but after dried will be 11 grams. good luck:)

hey.. theres a difference between damp (sticky) bud and bud you have just harvested. the smell will be different, like chlorophyll/green smell if it was not properly dried and cured.

follow FlyGuyOU's advice and hang them to dry in a dark warmish place and make sure you get proper air flow around the buds to prevent mold. DO NOT place them in anything airtight before the buds are fully dry or they will mold for sure!!

as for the trim (the excess leaves around the buds), you could place those in a paper bag and shake the bag a couple times a day until dry and use them to make hash.

lets see where to start... yes having more posts does give you more credibility. why would you lurk on a site for five years and never have anything to say? that leads me to think that you don't have much to contribute...

in regards to your advise i would not follow it, unless you want shitty bud. first off you can't cut off the air supply, unless you grow in a vacuum inwhichcase you would be amazing. and if you put them in the freezer, all the crystals will become brittle and just fall right off your buds.

if you want to spend your time thinking about worthless ideas go right ahead, but don't go trying to spread them

if your buds are wet just simply hanging them or putting them on a rack or in a paper bag without a good fan on them will cause them to mold. and DONT SMOKE MOLD

Well after reading over this. It does sound like a newbie mistake was made. That being I grew some outdoor ganja that looks great but now, WHAT TO DO? I CAN'T PUT IT IN MY PARENTS HOUSE!!! Well you should have thought of that before hand and now you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. So now you need an orderless way to dry it in your parents house and put your parents at risk for your habit.

Well the only way to really do it right without any odor is going to involve fans carbon scrubbers and a sealed box and that is not going to be very stealthy.

Well I hope I am wrong on making this assumption but it sure looks like the case.
