Hey Everyone,

I love the website and I love to see so many passionate people about marijuana. I have a request, I am not very familar with forums but a good friend told me this would be a great outlet.

Let me give you a little background. We are a student chapter for NORML at the University of Colorado at Boulder. We currently host the largest gathering of people smoking pot in the world on 4/20 every year. This past year we had over 10,000 people!! However, because this is an activist event that we host the University hits us with a lot of penalties and fees. This past year they made us agree to pay for security guards. We are a non profit group with very little funding and we still haven't been able to pay off the bill for the security guard. As of right now we are on suspension with the university and we are getting extremely close to being kicked off campus.

So to get to the point I was wondering if anyone could help us set up a paypal account. On top of the account I was wondering if there was a spot on this website (or any website) to fund raise. We really want to stay a student group at CU and were doing everything we can to make this money back.

If there is anyway anyone can help out that would be awesome. I can supply any information necessary to prove that we are a student group and all of this is true.

I hope all is well and keep fighting the good fight.

Oh and feel free to contact us at

Thanks!!!

I really cant say much about your current situation of if ppl here are able or willing to help or not, nor do i know u or authenticity of your story. I would have assumed that NORML's official branches will have an [email protected]

opening a paypal account is rather easy. u must read their terms and conditions and follow instructions. im pretty sure u will need a bank account that must be verified or u will remain unverified which will reduce your chances of getting any money.

just an idea for next time: charge every person some minimal fee like $1 or so... that would be $10000 which will certainly pay for many security guards for a few hours.

just my :twocents:
