Hey ya'll just wanted to say hello to all. I've been a "ghost" member on these boards for a few months now, just reading and learning all the basic info from the guides. GOOD JOB on them all btw.

Anyway, its been a good four months since sprout and i've had them in veg. stage up until i left for a trip to see my gf in vegas. I left my lil bro in charge of my plants and he decides to start the 12/12 photoperiod because a friend told him it'll make the plants grow better. Now, I can't get too mad cause he did me the favor while I was gone and he had good intentions.

My plants are approx 1-1.5 ft. in height and from what my bro told me, its been 5 days of 12/12. :( I know i'm not trippin (prolly am until I post some pics for the experts to decide), but I think I already see some flowering action goin on. On one plant I can see two little pistles with what looks like a super super tiny single ball. dunno, could be male, or too early to tell.

Soo...am I completely screwed??? or should i just go full on 12/12 and let them flower. would it screw me up if I went back to 16 day/ 8 night? thnx.

you can turn it back to 16/8 no problem. it will take a little while longer to get it back to veg stage but i dont think that long since it hasnt been under 12/12 for too long. what type of plant is it? indica or sativa? indica you normaly start the flowering at a 1-1.5 of height. i would only re-veg it if it is skimpy and not have a lot of branches.

from the look of the leaves i've got two sativa and one indica. now that you mention the whole indica thing, i'm thinking about keeping that under 12/12 just to try it out. i did some reading about it and might force flower. how much do you think i could harvest from a 1.5" indica plant?

your yield will depend on what types of growing condition it is in(lights/soil/pot size/nutes) and if you topped, super cropped, LST. average is about an ounce to 2. but a 1.5 tall plant will triple in height during flowering stage. so if you got a 1 foot plant, plan on it getting around 3 ft.

Yes, I was quite surprised to see the growth spurt when the flowering stage has begun. They get "considerably" taller, the 12-14" height is what I always use and end up with tall ladies by the time they are done.

Alrighty. finally got the pics posted! So ya'll, here are my babies haha. From the pics, my setup is pretty simple. The light setup I got from my neighbor and the bulb he gave me was some kind of philips brand. he said it was made for indoor plants...kinda has this blueish hue to the bulb itself and its no normal bulb, looks like the ones made for flood light fixtures. Anyway, I'm at the point where I have to upgrade my setup.

I'm thinking about transplanting them into a bigger pot w/ more soil cause two of the plants are showing nute. deficiancy signs (bottom yellowing). Payday is tomorrow, so i'm definitely gonna pick me up a ph & temp. reader and want to pick out a better pre-mixed or custom-mixed soil. All my babies are sittin in Black Gold organic, and from what i've read on the forums, sticking with black gold w/ perlite would be a nice combo.

Hey Cigarrettes42, you got me thinkin again---about the whole topping thing...should I? what would be the pros, cons? I've got about 12 ft. of height grow space, so my babies can get as tall as they want for now. If i top it now, it would obvisouly take up more width space, which I kinda am limited to. thanx.
