While i was in watering and moving my plants around last night,I noticed a couple little pods drop from 1 of the plants. They are about a week away from crop, and I have 4 others in there 2 weeks behind them.
It wasnt a bannana shape as i've read elsewhere ,it was seed shaped, green and soft and wasnt open.
I cut it lengthways and checked it out under my 30xs light scope.
It appears to have a white fine sugary, cocaine like substance inside. I'm guessing pollen :(..nooooooooo ,maybe coke :wtf: jc
Plants are so dense its hard to tell where these are coming from.
What am i looking at empty seed sacs :) or pollen sacs
fingers crossed.............
thanx

It's likely a calyx. Once pollinated, the seed forms here, and the hairs disappear. Do they have two white hairs sticking out of them?

No they dont have any hairs.
under the scope they looked like geen hairy, furry pods
So are you saying becouse this does not have the 2 hairs it has been polinated already? :( and the white stuff inside is seed being created?
What steps can i take at this point if it is hermied ?
just found a similar pic it looks like the one circled

Nope...those are nanners. Personally, when I come across an un-forced hermie, I destroy it asap. Some folks invest in Reverse, (Dutch Master I think) but I've never tried it.

I dont get it......
what is it i'm looking at here, a female pod that has been pollinated to seed or a pod with pollen in it ? :wtf:
I havent been able to see them on the plant other than with hairs.

You are most likely looking at a male flower that has developed on your female plant. You can pull em off, but if they are out in force it might not be worth the hunt. When those open they will release pollen into the air which will be caught by the pistils which will in turn create seeds inside the calyxs. You aren't looking at seeds yet, it's no alien pod, it's just a male flower on your otherwise female plant.
Before we all degrade the male plant and kill them all off, let us not forget that without the male we would have none of the wonderful strains that we are all spoiled with today. Genetics can be fun as well, you just never know what you might create.
I have had the same hermie problem recently and I invested in Dutch Master's Reverse and Penetrator. These are allegedly supposed to stop the reproductive cycles inside your plant, kinda like a birth control pill for your hermie. That way it can't get itself pregnant. I'm not sure about all the effects of reverse, but I did apply it as soon as I noticed the male flowers, and I haven't seen any emerge since about 2 days after the application. No adverse effects to speak of yet. I'll try to get back and let you know what happens at harvest.
BTW-
If anyone out there has ever been caught up reading the Reverse directions on the bottle while severely impaired you may be able to identify here. The directions say to pour the desired amount in the spray bottle add penetrator at 10ml/quart of solution and foliar feed until runoff occurs. In my infinite wisdom I researched high and low trying to figure out what the hell the "desired amount" should be. Couldn't find a dilution ratio or anything anywhere. Then it dawned on me, Reverse is pre mixed, no dilution necessary. Just pour and spray. Silly me, that's about 5 hours of research time I'll never get back. LOL

Ty
that was very informative :)
it turns out the flowers (not opened yet) were coming from adifferent plant than I had originally suspectd. I thought they looked young, to be growing on a plant that was a week away .they are on a plant 2 weeks behind the other I had suspected. Didnt seem to bad .Managed to clip lower branches where most seemed to be and picked out the remaing few and will keep a close eye. shes down wind from the others.
i'm goingto look into that dutch masters..ty..and keep us posted on how it works out for you
this is her on the left a week ago :(
