I just planted about 7-8 plants. They were mids and I know its way too late in the season. But will I get anything with THC? Even leaves and such are fine with me, as its completely free. I live in northern north carolina. So will i get anything. If its shitty (which i know it will be), I'll just roll a bunch of blunts with them.

no it'll freeze there and kill them off before they even start to flower.

does it need to flower to have THC in the leaves? I already know im not gonna get anything good, but what I was thinking about was just getting something like leaves from it, for those times when my budget is running low.

Nahh... not really worth it. The plant doesn't start out with THC in it... so it would require time for the process to take place (I think it has something to do with CBN and CBD or something... or something :stoned:) and the majority of it is found in the female flowers. So that's even assuming you grow female plants too.

BUT if you really don't mind smoking fan leaves... go for it. Although, if you live in the U.S. it is a rather large risk to take for such a small result.
