Moldy smelling & tasting, but not looking??

Hey guys. I'm confused. And p!ssed. I have a nice amount of some good stuff. I've been smoking it for a few days. All of the sudden, a couple of days ago, I noticed a funny smell and yesterday I realized it smells VERY strongly of mold! Now I've been feeling kinda like I'm coming down with something lately, but when I stopped smoking it, I felt better.

My problem now is that I only have a tiny amount of crappy stuff, with no way to get anything more, because nobody has anything around here. Not to mention the fact that I've never been dry for more than a couple of days, so I don't know how to do this & I'm getting a little worried thinking about it.

Here's my main question: HOW can it smell & taste moldy, but not LOOK it? Not that I've ever seen moldy weed, but it looks normal to me. Plus it was fine last week & I stored it with my mids!! THAT didn't turn!

I've been taking hits here & there, but I really shouldn't smoke it, should I? And please don't yell, but I'm allergic to mold! I smoked it before I realized what the smell was. I HATE wasting all that money I don't have, and I really hate wasting the high.

And since it looks like I may not be able to get anything anytime soon (only thing available is most likely more of this batch?? No thanks!!), HOW do you get through not smoking if that's pretty much what you do?? How do you sleep, etc...

Wow, had the same problem recently.

Posted yesterday about it: got some buds, some schwag, and it looked fine but smelled musty.

It was EXTREMELY moist but it didn't have any mold I could redily see, but I don't know what top look for really.......haven't much mold experince. The dude I got it from said it was trucked in from Mexico and had been in vacuum sealed bags, and that the bags were musty smelling when opened. It wasn't exactly refrigerated and was transported in really hot weather, while being wet an sealed.

Having problems with the camera, can't focus on the shit and all the pictures are blurry because it's trying to focus on the bg and not the bud. Arrrg! Gonna try again, I really want some opinions :()

Could my situation also be caused by non-cured bud? Any ideas?

oh man i HATE wet weed.

I knew this guy who would sell me ounces. I would watch him weigh them out and stuff, so i was really confused when i got home and pretty much overnight i had 10% less weed without smoking any of it :wtf: ... This went on for a couple weeks before i figured out this asshole purposely sold me wet buds that lost a ton of water weight when they dried out.

also, if you notice a thin white covering on parts of your buds almost like cobwebs then dont smoke it, that is MOLD! you can get seriously sick from smoking that stuff, and it isn't even safe to cook into brownies.

overly moist weed is just bad news all around. avoid it if you can

Decided to toss the bag, sucks I'm broke but it was just a twenty sack, maybe a bit over, and was schwag so fuck it I guess.

Sucks, it looked really nice, lots of orange hairs. But I looked up the different types of mold, and there is more than one.

The cobweby shit that's white and or even gray is a different type than what mine had. Mine was more of a rot smell, like decomposing. There is a type of mold that is dark green/blue and almost looks purple. That's more of a rot, mine was vacuume sealed when too moist (fucking idiots) and was transported in high tempature so thats a recipe for shit just getting raunchy.

There are apparently so many different types of mold, that, it's actually something I wish I could unread. And there is rot too, which mine has, and I'm not sure if rot is different than mold.

Anyone know if rot is different han mold? Can you have rot without mold. Lol I don't know...

Okay, so my guy is going to speak to his guy, because other people told him the same thing, but I don't hold out much hope. But at least it's something.

I've already smoked some of this.... CaptainDank, you said I can get seriously sick? What kind of sick are you talking? I mean, I didn't smoke it yesterday.... I'd know by now, right? I just quit smoking cigs a few months ago, it would me just my luck to have weird shit growing in my lungs now!!

What I don't get is that my friend got some from the same batch and had NO problems!! I don't get it.

I will look up curing now. Not to sound stupid, but I don't know what that is. Whatever it is, I don't do any of that stuff here.... I just smoke.
