How to tell if ma' herb has mold.....?

Hi all,

Not sure if I'm posting in the right place (???) but I have a question about moldy herb.

I got some that smells musty, is very "dank" and moisture-filled, but I don't see any actual mold on it, or I don't know what to look for.

I will post some pics tomorrow, but what does it look like?

I did some research and have some ideas, I don't have any spores that blow off, and no black stuff either. It does have some purple-ish spots though, and this is regular pot and I'm guessing shouldn't be purple?

Friend, if you're lucky, your nuggets WILL be purple. Ugh, when I see a nice big bag of that purple goodness, I just love it man. No black is good, and nothing blowing off is usually good. Moisture is largely bad, so if it feels hard to pull apart or has an unusually wet, strong, maybe musty smell, its prolly very fresh and pulled right from the plant. I say leave the bag open over night for a day or two, or take all the buds and put em on a paper plate, nuke em for 30 seconds or so.

If I had to guess, you prolly have some decent buds thats just still a little damp. Sometimes people are dicks like that, they'll wait for you to call or something and make your order, then they go over to their plants and just pick off what they need, while you lose 10-25% in water weight, if not more. I say if its wet bud, take it back to your person and say "Fuck you, gimme real bud not this stupid wet bullshit."

im not a weefer genius or anything but im pretty sure "nukin em" does more harm than good if you think its still wet look up a curing method to get back on track . Maybe its better weefer than you though and its just really sticky itd really help to have a pic tho

Yeah, I'm gonna post a pic up soon, gotta find the camera!

But I know what Kronic looks like, and I know this smelly stuff isn't kind bud and it looks like normal bud (lots of big stems/seeds) but maybe you pros can be the judge...

I actually called the dude I got it from, and he said the guy he got it from said it was all vacuumed packed when he got it and that the buds were really moist but it had that funky odor to it, very musty and foot smelling. Not like herb supposed to smell like. But it just doesn't look moldy to me, but I need to find the dang camera and try and get some pics up.
