S.mites,root aphids and more!!!

Wow it's my 3rd grow and the pest are in full force. I noticed a few tiny black dotes on my clones the second i purchased them. Since then i have had to battle root aphids, mites and other small white bugs. I got some spray from the local store and mixed it /w water, just to be careful. I then sprayed the roots and leaves( which the local hydro clerk told me was okay). The bug troops have decreased but still out number me. There is no physical signs that the plants are dieing nor do they look unhealthy. should i keep fighting(and not spray the leaves)? or spray the leaves and roots to contain the problem? oooo shit forgot to say. I AM IN THE 4TH WEEK OF FLOWER AND USE A TOP FEED HYDRO/ EXPANDED CLAY. Will this be a major problem in 4 more weeks???
