hello all!
So I'm moving to corvallis/albany oregon in 7 days from Texas. Got laid off at the age of 24, and decided to make a change, and got a job in Oregon! Looking for friends and smokin buddies in the albany/corvallis area. And maybe some friendly pointers in the right direction. Any headshops in the town? or will i have to go to eugene or salem. Any big kayaking spots in town or good shops? I started getting into kayaking over the past year in texas, mainly flatwater for where my location was. I'm excited to experience everything oregon has to offer!

You will love Oregon. Im currently in Texas, and will move back at the end of sept.

Im not a kayak'er but I know there are tons of places for it.

Corvallis will have OSU, and when theres a college theres herb.

Have fun, and enjoy your trip.

I'm a girl, but thanks for the congrats. yep, just a few days away from taking off. I'm pretty excited. I'm already trying to squeeze a trip to the beach, cuz i heard the water is sometimes bearable in september. I'd also like to make a trip up to Portland, before I have to get started with work. In the meantime, looks like i'll have to stalk around the colleges, which might be awkward since i'm not in college anymore. lol but a girls gotta do, what a girls gotta do, until I can get all set up in the new place.

2000 miles and 3 days of driving, and I'm here in great oregon. Truly a beautiful place. I've already peaked around Portland some, checked out the waterfront park, where i saw just how open the smoking is. I'm having trouble finding a headshop in Albany. Anyone know of any? Looking to make friends in the area, so if ya hear a texas accent, say hello. :D

well thank you, i'm a bit suprised how quiet it is myself. Working on trying to find connects, till i can get set up to start a grow. Due to my profession, i can't just come straight out and ask people, that and i'm just not sure how it works here if ya can. lol I'm sure i'll break down soon. I'm almost out of my stash i smuggled here. The prices of housing in this area aren't too bad. pay about $800 for a 2b town house, i do have pets though, so that's what i've found is the biggest increase in cost is pet fees.

still trying to find a headshop anywhere, if anyone could point a friendly finger or direction.

Hello, My wife and I have been looking for job the portland/beaverton area for a bit sometime now. (we're from the midwest) It looks promising, we're both in our late twenties, my wifes looking to sell pharm, and i'm looking for a change, (been doing nuclear for five yrs.) My parents retired and are moving to florida where my only sister/brother in law live. We have no kids and always wanted to move west.
Can anyone tell me some good areas to think about buying a house in?? I'm not concerned w/ good schools, just good prices for a decent house.
