Ok so I checked the pH and PPm of my tap water it was 8.3 and 310 ppm. Im on a well and i have seen water water high before, but never this high. What are the problems I could run into with hard water and what can I do to prevent problems. I use flora nova, sweet, floralicious plus, fox farm tripack (bloom boost). Right now I have started leaving my water out for 24 before using it. Any ideas would be great

I use well water that comes out of the tap at 8.0 or so. General Hydroponics ph Down (agricultural grade phosphoric acid) is what I use. (1/4 tsp:gallon) One gallon has lasted me almost two years, and still I have a pint or two left.
Works wonders, and the plants seem to love the extra source of phosphorous. Easy to use, too.

Listen to Rusty on how to deal with it.
As for potential problems, sure you can lock out nutrients with any sort of mineral buildup in the soil; your goal is going to be managing this so you don't ever get there. When you water, do it at correct pH and water to slight runoff, letting the soil dry out fairly well between waterings. You don't have to worry about letting it sit. That's not an issue.

thanks for info. i too have gallons of pH up and down that have lasted me a loooong time . . im hydro and do check pH everyday . . i guess my biggest concern would be the ppm and using it to water clones . . esp right after rooting, I don't like to give them nutes until about one week after rooting bc i have noticed and read that it can slow root growth bc they aren't having to search for nutes . . any thoughts on this would be helpful
