I wonder if it is "safe" to send something out to Hawaii by FedEx express? Do they xray your packages? I am wondering if it is vaccuum sealed and I have a non resinated glass pipe in there if it will be suspicious?

please help me with any info. thanks!

Fed ex doesnt x ray shit, its not possible. They are on a deadline, its about speed, not looking inside packages. I worked for UPS, there is no way they are looking for weed.

You know what my buddy used to do? He'd drill out the inside of a candle to make it hollow, put the herb in there, and put the bottom of the candle back on there. He said it worked like a charm.

I have also heard of chicks cutting a hole in a stuffed animal, putting the herb inside, and then sewing it back up. No reports on if it works well or not.

I got sent an entire kilo of salvia once, in a regular box. When I recieved it there was a huge hole punched in the bag and the box it was sent in has been opened and taped back shut with packing tape.

That sounds... illegal.

They're not allowed to open your mail just under suspicion that you have anything naughty. They'd need some proof.

I don't think smell even qualifies as proof, because there's cannabis candies and the like.

Dick Justice - As for the legality of what they did to my package, I imagine they busted it open because it smelled so strongly of herbs. They can open packages if drug dogs sniff it. They don't have drug dogs sniff everything I imagine, just suspicious packages. ((smelly, looks like a 4 foot bong wrapped in paper and tape , clearly labelled 'cocain for Bobbi, enjoy' on the front, etc.))

oh yeah thats right. be careful make sure it doesnt smell at all by wrapping it up a day prior to sending it to see if the smell permeates thru or wahtever within a time period.

You would be surprised how many holes get poked in shit by accident. You are constanly taping shit up because the packages are always getting ripped open by accident. They tend to open packages looking for for hazardous materials mostly, because people wont pay the extra money to get a sticker, and it could shut down the whole operation if it gets out, and cost them millions. Trust me they arent looking for drugs, and i never saw dogs there, and i worked at central hubs and at regional depots.
I dont know about america, but in canada (where i am) if they think you are sending drugs, kiddie porn or anthrax, they have to call the real cops to get it opened. No private company is going to spend money on drug dogs, its an extra expense and they only care about money. I am not saying there are never ever going to be drug dogs sniff your package, but thats only when the real cops are looking for your package. I know random sniffing doesnt happen, and your average UPS or fedex worker doesnt have time to wonder whats in each package. If they thought it was weed they would just steal it anyway. Its legal to ship bongs by courier too, i wouldnt though because they break enough shit.
