Hey i got 10 seeds (high quality) in the mail and want to grow outdoors as indoors is out of the question. Any way i can grow now, just for a quick crop before December? I'm not worried about wasting seeds because I have 60 of them, and am doing a full grow this spring.
Anyways, how long does it take (I heard 8 weeks) until I can get a decent harvest?
Thanks in advance,

Almost all plants needs at least 8 weeks, depending on the strain... Some even take longer up to 12 weeks is what longest one I saw. At this point I personally wouldn't plant any of those seed, too close to winter...

Thou shalt wait until next year to earthitize those seeds, if thou art wise.
Actually it depends on your climate.

I think i'll do it with just 10 seeds, and I'm in new england, but because of global warming (or not idk?) we had like a 70 degree winter last year and we had one snow storm, accumulating to 1 inch.... Anyways anyone got tips? I'm planing on growing in a patch of ferns or inside bushes...

The Farmers's Almanac is predicting a "colder and snowier than normal" winter for 2008...
That woudn't stop you from trying an indoor grow ;)

what strain are you growing? 8 weeks will be flowering mininum you will probally have about 6-8 weeks in the veg stage first, if it's an indoor strain you could be looking at a lot longer, grew some lowryder last year outside which is a self flowering dwarf plant, which is one of the quickest plants i know of from start to finnish 60 days inside under lights, but 100 days outside. i personally would wait and not plant in the middle of bushes unless your talking about a big clear patch in the middle as your plants will want plenty of light.allso i would plant them in large pots and not straight into the ground, make sure you get some decent growing soil with peralite, a ph test kit for the water(you probally will have to get some ph down or ph up depending what your water reading is) and some good ferts, and go to the grow section and read and learn as much as you can.whatever you decide best of luck

Well, they're in the ground now . I got some fertilizer from my garage, found a nice spot out in these Massachusetts woods and dug it out, put the fertalizer in and put them 2 inches below the ground. I also buried in some worms and will be watering it every day :). I'll let you know when they sprout up.
EDIT: it's a mixed strain... headies

Here's some frost info. Pretty sure them things will be dead shortly after these dates.
Frost Dates for Massachusetts - Victory Seed Company (http://www.victoryseeds.com/frost/ma.html)
And I don't know where you were last year (it says MA) but it wasn't 70 all winter and they got a lot more than 1 total inch of snow. Just be careful. Usually if you are going to take the risk of geurilla growing... you want to be sure you are going to get something out of it. Spending time going out to the spot and maintaining them, while it will be good practice, is just going to expose you and your future spot to potential negative attention.
The juice has to be worth the squeeze. Sounds like you are going to be dealing with frozen juice in a few months before you get to take a sip.
Good luck though

Lets hope so, I also saw these things that are like water tents that you fill with warm water daily and put around your "plant" to keep it growing throughout the winter. If I could find these anywhere, I'd be set to just grow through the winter and into spring.
Also, is it true that if you have the roots grow info an orange or something flavorful, the weed will have like an orangey taste? I might try this with vanilla extract or something... talk about some xmass crop
