My Grow Log

Hi everyone :rastasmoke:
I am beginning a grow, and I want to share it with the community.
Let's see how it turns out!

These babies are a cross between a Nirvana White Widow female and a Skunkman's Thai Haze X Skunk #1 male.

When the WW showed her first few preflowers, I wondered if pollinating the pistils would result in seeds. Well, it did. LOL
While I was trimming & manicuring the buds, I found 5 seeds, of which only 2 were mature.

So, I put the 2 good beans in a paper towel, and within 48 hours I had poppage. Stuck em in the soil, and the next day, I had 1 above ground. The other one waited an extra day, so one looks older than the other...

400w HPS Cool tube
MG Organic Choice soil w/ perlite and vermiculite added
Botanicare Pure Blend Pro organic nutes
Liquid Karma
Diamond Nectar
I'll give a dose of blackstrap molasses every now and then.

Yeah man, the WW looked pretty damn good the day she died... The PW did too. :D
The buds are cured up nicely and just glistening with crystals... Awesome smoke. I'm proud :D

Here's the 1 week update on the WW X SH babies :)
All is well. One of them is much more vigorous than the other, but I think the runt is gonna be ok. The fast growing one is looking great though... Already beginning to form its 3rd node. 3 nodes in a week! w0ot w0ot! :thumbsup:

are those pots the kind w/ the built in trays if so rip the trays off to get better drainage put something else under them to catch the runoff..Seen to many have problems over watering in those pots...But otherwise looks good to me. sounds like a killer strain

Thanks d4. I'll not be having overwatering problems since I'm only watering once every 2-3 days. I like to let the soil dry out pretty well between waterings. :)

Yes killa, you are absolutely correct bruddah. :D
They're 2 weeks old (yesterday), and looking great.

I definitely have 2 distinct phenos... Plant #1 is very perky with sorta sativa-ish looking leaves that reach for the sky, while #2 is definitely indica dominant... Short, wide fingers, it's very compact & the internodal distance is very tight. It looks almost exactly like its mother the White Widow did when it was this age, and the leaf color is more like its father the Skunk X Haze.

They're healthy & happy though, and that's what matters! :rastasmoke::thumbsup:

Yeah I agree... I think the sativa dom is gonna blow by by the indica. It started out just the opposite, with the indica being the more vigorous one. Oh well... I'll do what I gotta do to keep that canopy even. :D
I think I'm only gonna veg for 4-6 weeks anyway, and then switch to 12/12. So, we shall see what happens!

Whatever the case, we're ready! Got the bag packed, got our jobs on alert in case something happens, etc. :D

Man keep the log updated when u have the kid......and once again congrats! :thumbsup:

So far the plants have been taking their half-strength nutes very well.
I just feed them both from the same jug... pH 6.7.
We'll see if I need to make adjustments down the road. :rastasmoke:

I've been watering every 3 days because my temps are in the low 80's.
I'm not sure if I'm having a lot of evaporation, or if the plants are just that thirsty. LOL
I've begun giving half strength nutes.... Using Botanicare Pure Blend Pro for veg with some Liquid Karma & GH Diamond Nectar thrown in for good measure. I'll be flowering with Pure Blend Pro Bloom Soil Formula.

The babies are 3 weeks old today, so I thought I'd throw a few pics up for those who are interested.

They're looking great... I've boosted the nutes up to 3/4 strength, and I'll veg them for another week or two before I switch to 12/12.

Plant #2 has begun to develop a sex indicator already. At the moment, it's tough to tell if it's pistillate or staminate, but under 60X magnification it looks female. Time will tell...
I'm just impressed that its there at only 3 weeks! :D

So, due to the birth of my daughter I skipped a week's update... LOL
Sounds like a pretty good reason to me. :D

I know there are a few who'd like to see how things are coming along.

They're doing great at 5 weeks. Still under 18/6 light.
I've switched the nutes from all grow to "transition" stage, where the grow and bloom nutes are mixed 50/50.

Plant #1 still hasn't shown it's sex yet, but I see little preflowers beginning to develop near the top of the plant.... So it shouldn't be long now before I'll know what it is.

As I stated before, plant #2 has been a confirmed female for nearly 2 weeks now, and there are little hairs starting to pop out at several different nodes along the main stem... It's as if the little lady is in a hurry to start flowering. :rastasmoke:
As soon as #1 decides what it wants to be, I'll switch to 12/12... Then the fun begins! :thumbsup:

Trust me.....the peru is where it at....she's not the biggest yielder....but the quality is really top notch.....if think my ch9 plants are crystalized....you should see the peru.....they grow with some wierd trichs.....there is a problem though..if you wanna call it that......the trich heads get so big and heavy id imagine some of them break off. But the trichs grow in these large clusters they kinda grow like grape clusters of crystals....they turn like a goldish amber color which leaves the buds with a goldish tint to them.....will not be disappointed!

BTW, congrats on the new addition to your family glad to hear everything went well for the baby and momma....I've got 3 daughters of my own...

Damn lookin at your plants makes me wanna get my ass into gear to get my cultivation station modifications finished and get some better genetics growin

You should look into learning how to make feminized seeds it dosen't seem to hard, and you've got the skills fo' sho' to breed em'

Hey people, I know it's been a while since I updated, so here it is :)

I flipped to 12/12 about 11 days ago, and in that time they have stretched like a mofo... They got to damn near 2 1/2 feet tall & were getting too close to the light... I didn't want the tops to get burnt, so I bent them over & tied 'em down... They've responded by bushing out heavily :D Which is kinda what I wanted! LOL

Also, today I went out back & snipped a few purple flower stalks off of the male WR X (PW X AK48), and proceeded to smack 'em against some of the pistils on the lower branches of these indoor ladies... Hopefully it'll take, and there will be some SUPERBOMB seeds in a couple months :D
Let me refresh your memories: that will be White Widow X (Skunk X Haze) X White Rhino X (Purple Widow X AK48).... Sound tasty? It does to me!! :thumbsup::jointsmile:

Absolutely d, I'll be happy to share all I know, it's the easiest thing in the world...

I do use the Botanicare, although I switch to the hydro formula when I'm running the Hempys... I don't even do anything different from a soil grow, except for keeping the pH of the nutes in the 5.5-6.2 range... Otherwise, I treat it just like a soil.

Bruddah... with your skills, if you did hempys... your plants would be MAMMOTH!

Okie dokie people! Here are the WW X SH girls at 20 days flowering.

They're doing great! They've both really stretched a lot (especially plant #1, which looked more sativa dominant right from the start) and are filling up the cabinet.
I think the stretch phase is complete now, and they're both starting to bud out nicely.
Not much trich production currently, but I'm not worried about it as they still have lots of time to go yet.

Going forward from this point, I'll update every 10 days, so hopefully we'll see changes and more chunkiness & frostiness with each update from here on out.

I'm thinking plant #2 is going to be a great yielder for her height, and she's packing it on pretty quickly and starting to get nice & sugary. I anticipate her being ready sometime in the beginning of December, which will give me something to smoke while I wait for plant #1, which is looking like she's gonna take a few weeks longer, perhaps New Years or so...

Just one light in the cabinet.. a 400w HPS in a homemade cool tube... That's the only light they've ever seen. I'm thinking it's working pretty well! :jointsmile:

My cabinet is only 2ft by 2ft by 4ft tall, giving me 100 watts per square foot. Plenty of light for two luscious ladies. :thumbsup:

Things are looking magnificent with plant #2, while plant #1's buds don't seem to be progressing quite as well. I'm thinking this is attributed to the more sativa, hazey traits of #1, compared to #2 which has always appeared to be more indica dominant. Alright folks! Here is a little update.

The ladies are on day 32 of flower, and it's amazing how different the two phenos are.:cool:

Both are showing nice trichomes now; however, the size and chunkiness of the buds on each plant differ dramatically. :wtf:

Plant #1's buds are very small, plant #2's buds are pretty big & chunky...
I think #2 will be finished sometime in he first week or two of December, and plant #1 will definitely go until at least the new year, if not a week or two longer...
Oh well. I love them both. :D

Ahh man... it's tough to estimate their height anymore. They're getting huge!

If I hadn't bent them over, plant #1 would be pushing 4 feet or more, no doubt about it... Stretchy bitch!
#2 would be not too far behind her, though probably a few inches shorter.

As they stand now, they're both about 2.5 - 3 feet from the surface of the dirt to the top of the tallest bud...
I'll have to go down there tonight & break out the tape measure to get an accurate figure for ya :D

At any rate, they're frosting up wonderfully.... Buds are getting chunkier... They're smelling superb... fruity... sweet.... goodness. :D

I haven't done an update in a while, so here are some pics.

Nothing much to say, except that they stink, they're sticky, they're getting chunky, and I love them.

First shots are #1... etc. Note the "S" shaped stem on #1, where she was getting so tall after LST, I had to bend her back over on herself. LOL

Yeah... The stem is twisted at the "S" curve... I dunno why it does that... Probably something with the fibers in the stalk.
I was thinking the first bend was gonna be enough, but she kept on stretching and the main stem got up to the light again, so I had to bend her back down again... :rastasmoke: All the little buds that would make up the main cola now turn upward toward the light, so it almost does look like a little christmas tree farm. LOL :thumbsup:

I've never seen anyone try LST in hydro, but I would imagine it can be done as long as ya use plenty of counter-ties to keep everything steady.

I do believe I shall harvest Plant #2 in 10 days, on day 63 of flower.
Checked her trichs last night and we're at about 60% cloudy/30% clear/10% amber. :420thought:

Plant #1 will go a few weeks longer, due to her Hazey makeup... She definitely has some fattening up to do.
I'll probably chop her somewhere between 11-13 weeks, depending on trichomes. :D

There will probably be one last update for #2, and I'll make sure to post harvest photos! :thumbsup:

Well, the girls have reached 63 days of flowering, or 9 weeks.
Due to my need to get another run going promptly, I'll be chopping both of these ladies this weekend. I know I said before that I was going to let Plant #1 go a couple weeks longer, but her trichomes are at 70/30 cloudy/amber, and that's right where I want them. She's also been yellowing out nicely also.
#2 just looks & smells magnificent...I can't wait to get her dried and cured out.

These pics are the last that will be taken of these girls while they're alive...
I'll follow up with some harvest pics in a few days.
