Rate my "sour diesel"

Hi,

I was just wondering what you guys think of the quality of this weed. This is the only "chronic" I can find around where I live right now.

The guy I get it form says its SIMILAR to sour diesel, as hes not sure if it is or not. It looks very similar to sour diesel pics ive seen on google.

It is very very fluffy and light and has huge amounts of red hairs and smells like lemon or grapefruit almost. It smokes very well with a very stony Clear headed high. Im not sure if tis very good quality but its my favorite weed.

I get it for about $15/gram or $50 an 8th.

for comparison, mids, or "CORN" or popcorn as its sometime called around here sells for $5 a gram and ranges in quality.

This particular bag of weed isnt quite as nice as the first one i got, but it still gets me stoned and smells more like grapefruit, whereas the first bag I had was very lemony.

yea it doesnt look that great but its fluffy and covered with crystals which you cant see in this pic. it does look like other pics of sour diesel ive seen on google tho

Overfertilized, probably grown in too-hot conditions resulting in fluff, really crappy trim job- ironically if the trim job were better we wouldn't be able to tell how poor the grower's skill was.
Well-grown diesels and their relatives should be denser and frostier than that.

Also, if it smells like "grapefruit" it may be NYCDiesel which technically is not "Sour Disel"

Also, my sour D is a hella lot denser than that nug. That nug looks like it is mostly leaves

yeah man. I can tell just by looking at it its not sour d. The D is alot denser and a lighter shade of green. Not too hairy either but mor crystally. it also has a very distinct smell.

When your options are limited, any homegrown can be passed off as anything to people that don't know any better. In Kansas, people would grow out bag seed, even mediocre grows there look like the best weed ever, (compared to Mexican brick weed) and most don't know the difference, so the cough up the money for the kind bud!
Maybe it is SD, and the grower just didn't max out it's potential, maybe they were misinformed? Really hard to tell. Maybe you got taken advantage of? Maybe it doesn't matter what any of us think, if you think it was good, and worth the money, then kudos for you. I wouldn't even smoke that. My first grow looked better than that, and I refused to smoke it, I ended up giving most of it away for free, and turning the rest into QWISO.

Here is a pic from my personal stash of a sample of sour d that I had, it was decent. Not the best sour d I have ever had, but very good nonetheless. No choice High Times Nugs Cover Photo or anything. But even this batch as Stinky said, "Dense and Trich covered". But if you put the pics side by side, there is a stark contrast. This sour d was donated to me by a collective owner as a welcoming gift from his personal collection when I moved to California, along with a couple of pounds of another 20ish strains! But enough about me winning the cannabis lottery, here you go.

Well thats just it. Its not pretty but the bud was very good. It smelled and tasted like lemon so thats the only thing that made me believe the guy when he said its SD.

The reason I made this post was to get some god info and thats what I got so thank you all.

If it really is sour diesel it was most likely harvested early, before densing up and crystals packing on.
Not trying to be discouraging though, im sure its a sweet smoke. Enjoy it man.

i have to say at that price, it better be the real deal. Obviously its great to know what you are smoking but if it gets me smashed I don't care what it is. I also can't rate pot on site. I have to at least smell and touch it to assume anything. It looks like a decent, but the sour diesel I have had is much denser like people above have mentioned.

I got the same deal from my one dude just a couple days ago for some nug. and i don't wanna sond like one of those assholes that say you don't know shit but I have the same nug as your picture and it's just some fluffy stringy beasters, I wouldn't exactly say it's sour diesel or close to it but hey a bowl of beaters still gets me high, right? ha

Thats exactly right, tis not insanely good weed, but its a very fun very happy stoned high and I love it. It may not be exactly Sour D but i think its close.
