Finding a Cabinet

I'm looking for a stand alone closet to grow in. I've got a 250HPS that is about 20" deep from the tip of the reflector to other end and I'm having a problem finding a space for it. All the built in closets I have are being used and have terrible electrical access. I'd like to have something that is about 24" deep, but can't seem to find anything like that. I continue to search second hand stores and garage sales, but nothing has come up. And most things I've found online are no more than 20" deep.


Anyone one have any suggestions? Or maybe a helpful link?

Thats not a bad idea. The HomeBoxS would be just the right size. I almost feel like I could build something that would work just as well-if not better-for a lot less. I just need to get off my stoned ass and do some work:rastasmoke: Thanks for the idea though

That is a good find. Just over 20in deep, plenty tall, plenty wide. Now where can I find 100 dollars, hmmmmm.

I built my own cab, 24 inches w, 24 inches deep & 48 inches tall for less than 100... Anything you eventually end up choosing will probably need electrical access & ventilation holes drilled anyway... Don't let that sway you. :)

My suggestion is to go to resale shops, and look for a wardrobe -- Goodwill and the like -- They make for a perfect grow container, look like furniture, and are sturdy. Though I've never grown in a cab, I have a grow-op friend who uses one...B

I'm using a sterilite cabinet (bigger one) for my grow. I think its like 69x25x18. I have a 250w HPS in a pyrex cooltube hanging in there and the cheapo reflector that came with my lamp fits nicely is pretty proportional to the 25x18 floor.

I have seen an old Coke machine that had been gutted. It was really cool, fit about 5 or 6 plants in it. It was old school tho, a big machine from a school or a rec center.
