I'm growing in a pretty small space myself, I got 2 plants with 2 cfl lights. You could deft grow more plants with a SOG or something. Also you should think about lsting them. I have a log up in indoor growing. Its named "just starting set up" . Or something like that. Check it out

I've got a space similar to yours (mines 48" tall though). I started out with 6 100w equivalent CFLs. It worked well. I grew 1 plant at a time & LST'd it to get as many branches as I could. Did pretty well, I think you can too. :)

Noob here, could someone tell me what LST is?

LST stands for Low-Stress Training. It involves bending stems and training branches to go where you want them. It also encourages more bushy growth overall.
It rocks. :D

my 2 cents as a pc and cabinet grower. LST makes a huge difference in regards to the space issues with your plants, but going with screens of green are the way, I have screens on my plants and the light is only 3" away and the plant itself is super short since its in the screen, all in a 2Wx4Hx4L cab.
I feel like I'm wasting a ton of space in my cabinet, but thats a seperate issue. Also I think it depends on how your cabinet opens up, for mine the top folds down, which I liked at the time, but getting large plants in and out and not overgrowing gets tricky.... good luck..happy times...
