Good Day all,
I seem to be having problems when I take over say 15 minutes to write a post. When I press the submit button it directs me to the login page and when I hit the login button it says I have already logged in and hit the back button. Then I seem to get stuck between the 2 pages.
This is extreamly frustrating when you put the time in to make a very informative post and just end up losing it.
I am using Norton Indetity Safe could this be part of the problem because i never had this problem till I started using it.

Thanks Billionfold: I keep cookies and trackers fixed with Norton. But, go in myself and clean up too! Plus, deleting too much usless info on email, keep it as clean as possible too! Thanks, any other suggetions:

Great Idea, going to Firewall! I know can.com sends cookies and tracking. Norton picks it up and dumps it daily! Any increase in settings and I can hardly use PC. I am due to renew and I will go McAfee this time.
Norton use to let you call them a few times for free for advice, but charge for everything now! Plus, they have been slow to pick up new virus's, in some case's. I've been using them since '97 and when they would help you set it up. The only think I use anymore is "Go Back" ! Which erase's everything that came in on your PC until a Safe Date you previously used! You lose a lot of stuff, but it cleans up nicely. I would prefer, it just clean up the virus and keep my info!
Thanks, I'll dink with it later! Appreciate the info!
I went to Computer room and clicked on a thread, my pc keeps turning off! Mine did after I went there and I had to re-set! So I am not sure it is a trusted site, but I like it 2 much to care! PR Thanks again

:jointsmile:That is re-assuring, anything helps!! I will go buy McAfee this week!
I had all my windows closed, except my web mai, as I was shutting of my PC (laptop) yesterday and I did notice something odd!
Just above my actual messages it said in a fine like (footnote like) print: <td. can.c just last night. I also saw it in "visitor's' to my personal info page. It isn't there now. And was a totally different type of print, than I've seen anywhere, except when I see a posting ID #! First, I figured it was a Moderator that wanted to be anony.! Then when I saw it as I logged into my web mail, I shut down! I haven't seen it today! Doubt it means anything, but seemed pretty odd.
Again, my thanks Billionfold. I'll switch and see. I figured most of the time, it is slow to dial-up or the boards are just too busy. It hasn't been doing it the past hour or so. But, I need to do something else.

Lucky to get dial-up! No cable, cell phone access or natural gas, on well water and satellite gets clogged when there are clouds, rain or snow! Only a few problems. I can purchase (AMEX) (maybe the price is down in past 3 mos.) an outside treestand type of satellite that costs over $1800.00 last I checked. But, I can go out and get the elements off of it, so it will work. Will I go out in the snow and do it, hell yes, to get my can.com!!! I hate to whine about $, but am on disability and am doing just fine, if I watch myself! My mmj really cuts into things and need to grow also. Never do anything half-assed, so wait until I can do it right and it will be useful many times, no matter what it is and try for newest technology!
So, am thinking of moving and selling (if I have to). Funds are not exactly liquid and worse with prices of mmj in CA. It is a choice, grow ASAP or PC for my first addiction-Can.com!! lol Well, guess I should be thinking, newer vehicle with automatic trans.!
I have a good gro location and it is a hard thing to think move. But, not a bad thing in many ways. Am in limbo, don't have to stay here, but love my only neighbor! Solitude here and I know where I need to go to get what I need! Plus, established with my docs here.
There is a PC repair shop in town. I'll drop in there. We have about 10,000 people in this community, lucky to have that shop. Will see if he can figure it out. Cheaper than guessing and screwing up my PC!
Thank you so much for being so helpful! I have been really thinking of Nort. Cali. or Oregon!! I just want to have a better climate to grow and closer to city (I think and then I think not)! If I can keep both places, would be nice. Time will tell. But, I want to play games and really learn more. I get so tired of the slow dial up that drops the call and freq. can't even get on line!
Maybe my neighbor and I will go into it together for a permanent one. They need one for running their business from home! I have to tap into the resources available and find what they are. You are right I need to change, so I can have more fun. Sometimes, I write a post and it disappears, because my dial-up dropped. Gets frustrating, but can.com is like the carrot dangled in front of the donkey (for me)! I will have to choose between gro and being on line! That will be tough! :( but, must do soon! PR peace be with you!!!
Gee, I just realized, I don't think we did much for the original thread, hope he/she doesn't feel jacked and some will aply to that! Hope they come back! I feel a bit rude! My apology if you felt that way Jerry G., but I know you've been around here and hopefully understand and got help here also!!!;)

Well I am here again because I am Pissed Off. Not at you but this issue has happend to me again today after writing a very lengthy post all for nothing. It seems to be spuratic. I notice it seems to happen just after logging in and only the first post after logging in, after a short post this problem seems to go away.

Well it happened again and this time I hit the back button from the log-in page that I was directed to from hitting the submit button, this took me back to the original post page. I then clicked the basic growing tab at the top and went to that page and logged in again with no problem. I then hit the back button to my original post page and hit submit and it went thru.
Maybe this will help you trouble shot what is happening now that I figured out a way around it, I really did not want to turn off my identity protection for obvious reasons.
Thanks all for your help:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
