It has to be worth it? I'm using a 600wt hps in flower red spectrum and want to move up to a 1000wt hps tomorrow. I have to many plants in a 3x6x7' room and I want a 1000wt in there I dont see any problems other than having to turn up the ac unit and raise the light. I should get more bud? What do you guys think?

Shouldn't have any problems. If your room has a high overhead, then a 1000w hps should work fine. Depending on the height of your plants, I would do a sog under a 1000w. (opinion) Morelight=morebuds!!:jointsmile:

Hey there bobbie do...,

It's said that 2 600watt systems are more efficient than one 1000watt system...I know you're air cooled but are your fans strong enough to push and pull through two systems..
Whatever way ya go,wishin' ya monster harvests!!!:420thought:

I wouldn't want to bet on it I use a 4" inline fan bringing in the air and a 6" talking it out. The money is a little funny and the only thing I need is a ballast and a 1000wt bulb and I can use the socket and reflector from my 600wt.

I hear ya bobbiedo, looks like the 1000watt is the answer then...Wishin ya grows that are trouble free with buds that drip with THC!!!:420thought:

If you're over crowded now...you might want to make sure your room has lots of air circulating under and over the plants as well as keeping an eye on the humidity...bud rot is an ulgy ulgy thing...
Good Luck

I do have a fan blowing behind the ac so it pushes it over the tops and bounces aronds the corners. I grow inside a garage all year round a heater for winter a ac unit for summer and no mold in almost 3 years now.

I'd do both...600 + 1000......if the AC was up to it. Otherwise, I doubt it. IMO.

I'd kill to have a garage to grow in...

theres a long story about way I started growing in the garage and it has something to do with the now ex wife and when it starts to get colder i move the flower room in doors. Everything is set up for it except all the holes for venting. Just finished organizing the flower room with the new light and even with tops its 74. The light is a little high for now I want to see how the plants react to the extra lumes and heat I'll start to lower it a little each day but the room is so lit up now it won't be much lower.
