But, your odds improve with TLC :)

Yeah... plant like 4-5 seeds ;) Not a guarantee... but I'd say you have a pretty damn good chance of getting a female. :jointsmile:

Thx for the help guys umm just one more question that do you mean by TLC Weezard. I was just wondering because i got one bag seed and i heard about using birth control but didn't wanna try and mess up my plant im starting

I like to simulate early spring whenever I start new seedlings. Keep temps a little cooler than normal, and use 12/12 lighting for the first 2 or three weeks. I also water with cold water because rain is rarely (ie. never) room temperature. This has worked well for me, I always get 75-80% females.

start with 18 hours of lighting, the '12 hours the first 2-3 weeks' is NOT a good idea, can induce light-stress, and serves no purpose ... I would also use tepid water ... not to be trashing someone's ideas, but just because something works, doesn't mean your different approach was the reason ... just keep it simple :thumbsup:

No problem. I know it's a radical idea and a lot of people will stick to what works for them. That's fine.

Whether or not my early regimen results in more females, of course I'm not positive. However, first hand experience has shown me that it does not hinder growth in any way. On the contrary, I have observed less problems in general and an overall healthier plant.

The purpose is to mimic nature as close as possible. In every part of the world where cannabis has evolved, the seedlings in nature receive close to 12/12 hours of light in early spring. Also, most of the time rain is not tepid, even in the tropics. So, why would these factors harm a plant?

Not arguing, just stating my observations.
