I am going to take cuttings of my plants once i have put the flowering bulb in and get the sex.
At what stage should I take the cuttings. Before or after it starts to bud? Or can it be done both ways?

Should always take cuttings before flower.

remember cuttings take 2 weeks to root enougth to be used to find sex of the plant then you should put it in flowering to find sex take your cuttings from the lower areas of your plant as this gives the plant more air move ment under the plant unless you want to top it because of size. hope this helps

You can take them in the veg stage which is the best time but you can also take them in the second week of flower which does work but they will take longer to root. I take clones in veg when they are around 3 to 4" long.
