ok so basicly i just want to mess around a bit. like by growing corn and mellon's in the house this winter. I also want to do a bit of cloning, LST, and toping the plant, and then idk if you can but make the plant flower faster than normal by playing with the amount of light it gets per day. The first pick is corn. Second is mellons. Third is on the left snap draggons and on the right corn. Fourth is MJ. Fith is a bottol of dirt i will use to grow grass in. Also just want to let everyone no all help is welcom. since i have never tried anything i have listed above.

3 days have passed and all the plants looke good except for the one melon plant that died. also i had another MJ plant sprouted a day after the first.
Also im going to try LST first and it seems straight forward you just tie the plant down in the shap or direction you want it to grown in i guess my only question how long should you let the plant grow befor you start LST and should i gradually LST or just bend it into position i want it in right from the start. hope what i said makes since, if not just ask i'll try and explain better. The first pic is corn, second is snapdragon, third is the oldest MJ plant, fourth is the second MJ plant.

this is the pic of the melon seeds as you can clearly see on of the melons plants died the other is doing really good.

This should be fun
I'll stick around
I thought about screwing around with grow techniques for tomatoes! and maybe green beans too!

hey sunny i know this will probly sound crazy but i was talking to some friends about my grow and we thought it be cool if we could make a corn MJ hybrid and i was like sure ill try it but i dont know how to pollinate the MJ with corn or corn with MJ. So i was woundering if you new how i might be able to pollinate that be sweet.

Though it is probably not totally impossible it is highly unlikely that any kind cross between corn and marijuana could happen. And if it did happen I would say it would take more science than we could handle in a home experiment :)

i know man. i really have no hope for succes but in my head i invisioned a MJ plant that look like a corn stalk and the bud grew in the corn husk. but yea probly wont work but it wouldnt hurt to try, so im just looking for a pollination technic or something

corn is doing good not much change on the corn i LST the melons got a new leaf and the cutting i took from my snapdragon i think is taking root since it grew a few new leaves and is really green.

Both plants are doing fine i had a third sprout but i think it's stunted the first leaves havent even spread open and its been 7 days and on the second pick one of the leaves have a few brown spots but not sure why. and the post above this should say day 10 as well.

i was just woundering what the diffrent light cycles were, and when i should put the plants on them. also about how long into the plants life should i wait befor giveing it nutrients.

Hey surfnbird not trying to butt in or anything, but ur meolons need a large area to grow in. The melons I grew this year, vined out to a 10' radius. Of course I'm sure the growth rate varies with the enviroment and strain. Just thought I would give u a heads up.

Looks like a fun experiment. Not sure if LST will matter with the melons since it grows as a vine, rather than upright like the MJ's. You'll get some nice little bushes with the MJ's though, they love LST. Makes em branch out all crazy-like. :)
As far as light cycles, I'd just start with somethign typical of an indoor grow (18 on/6 off for veg, 12/12 when you're ready to induce flowering) and see what the melons & corn do... I'm not sure how they'll respond to light cycle changes. We know the MJ will start to flower. Hopefully they're ladies :)
Subscribing to this one, good luck with it!

Smarting yea i know what your saying and doobster i wasnt gonna LST the melon i was gonna try toping it. also thz for the heads up smartin didnt think it would get that big. Also i was talking to the local hydro guy and he was saying my 4 T8 florecint bulbs arent really enough light for my plants. he told me it would work fine for vegging but when it came time to flower and get fruits and vegi's, and bud it just wouldnt be enough light for the plants to produce anything or if it did it be very small. So i am looking for a cheap alternative since he has grow lights in the store but there really expensive and i dont really want to spend that kinda cash and my grow space isnt big its 2'x4' so just really looking for enough light for this space and mabey a little extra.
