well i've seemed to run into my first problem, on some of the leaves on one of my tops is getting yellow circular spots on them which ive noticed very few on others eat away the yellow surface. is it something to do with bugs or just my plant not being behaved?

Those look nice...seems to be Sativa Dom. so don't expect them to finish too fast ...they might go into mid-late oct...what are you feeding them? have you start bloom nute? I would give it another dose of veg nutes to give it enough nitrogen to carry thru to flower...Good Luck

i was actually planning on taking them out towards the end of oct. i started feeding them bloomer a few weeks ago. its a regular bloomer found at local home depots. its a 15-30-15 mixture so it should be good enough to for veg. too. thank you:jointsmile:

O'skool
09-01-2008, 03:17 PM
"I" think you shouldn't trim right now...You may have given them bloom nutes too soon...next time do the veg nutes till you see signs of buds forming... they need nitrogen in flower too just not as much... Also might need Cal/mag... THey really do look good tho...let them get as much sunlight as poss and you'll start to see them buds form...also i really think you have a more Sativa dom plant so your buds are not gonna look like they would on an Indica plant..might be why your friends look different...

Why would you want to trim any leaves man?? The buds need them to grow big...your buddy has a different plant that is probably much closer to being finished than yours. Yours looks sativa dominant and has a good while to go...just kick back and et mother nature do her thing. If you're giving ferts switch from the 15-30-15 to something like 5-5-15 and you'll be good to go! GL!

With your camera, if it's focused you can see the trichomes fairly well.

Far as outside being lighting not quite being 12/12, look at the outdoor grow logs. Everyone's outdoor plants have been flowering for ABOUT a month now, at least those in the northern hemisphere.

i just dont want to take them out to soon and not get the full potential,

on one plant almost 50 % of the hairs are orange already, but i know thats not the best way to tell,

Yeah you're gonna want to wait, unless you like growing all year long just to harvest early.

Read about harvesting and then harvest when you get the percentage of amber trichomes you want.

i have to, theres nothing else i can do, my parents wont stop bitching about the smell of it. i had to take down my bigger one last night.. i had to fight with my dad to let me keep the other one in the ground...

there really isnt gonna be a way for me to keep it in the ground any more then a few more days

at least its not gonna be a total waste because the plant is literally covered with trichs, i was never able to tell if they were clear or cloudy though, my guess is there cloudy since they started flowering since late july

i know, i did it because im getting ready to pull her out of the ground, and when i waited untill i i toke out my first plant to take the leaves off. it was too much so i decided to trim her now, so when i pull her i can just hang her to dry

but was there any trichomes on the fan leaves? the trichomes usually only grow on the leaves growing out of the bud sites. most people throw away the big fan leaves because they have such a tiny amount of the chemicals your looking for, if any noticeable amount at all.

and i hope your planning on taking her down within the next couple days, at most. plants are known to go into shock if it is stripped like that, so i think the growth might have been stunted with that choice. i dont think shes liking being out there with nothing to make food. i know personally, if i were a plant, i would rather be dead lol :stoned::stoned:
