Hey guys I just started remodeling my bedroom which is my office also. I work from my home and take my college courses online. Its a small room, enough room for a flat panel wall mount tele, a desk, bed, and file cabinet maybe. I was going to drywall & paint the walls, but i thought if i did something cool and unique on the walls it would be better, any ideas? Maybe some custom painted beadboard, something like that. I'm open to all ideas but needs to be fairly cheap

Thanks

If you have the patience for a lot of painting and waiting You can do this really neat thing that a friend of mine did in her room

She started off with a white coat, painted random black squares and rectangles, the sort of a neon green but not that bright, then a sky blue, and then trimmed and cleaned with more white lines...you can experiment with drawings and such to see if you'd like that or not, I'm all about interior fun!

Cover the walls with red felt and fill the room with pillows. Get a big hookah to put in the middle of it all.

Classic! but one thing you forgot, where the hookah is

You have to have that 360 degree couch that is sunk beneath the floor level, so you have to climb down to the couch

That would be the greatest couch ever.

lol it has to have a bed and desk in it, and still have a comfortable sitting/laying place for two to watch the tube

what do you guys think about puttin up drywall and not finishing it out just painting it with the seams and screw heads showing?

I think it would look cool, especially if you put it up real nice with minimal seamsin it and straight/uniform screw placement.

My bedroom is my haven. It should be a place for you to go to completely relax, so its my belief it should be a peaceful room. Just make sure you don't ruin this, because you do sleep in that room. But as I try to keep my room simple I don't really have any suggestions aside from finding some sweet blinds/curtains to match a nice comforter/pillow set.
