my friend threw some old seeds out in the woods beside my shop (and the ground be covered in ivy) in early may and i just went out yesterday thnking what if they grew...to my disbelief to little plants started sprouting and look like the pictures attatched...
can any1 iddentify?

That leaf shape kinda looks like a petunia to me. That'll give you some really pretty flowers if you take good care of it.

idk casue its strting to flower an it only has 1 bud and tht bud is yllo n sorry if wat im sayin isnt making any sence caue me and my friend jus smoked some maui waui with a waterbottle bong

Cannabis plants have bud clusters that are either a similar shade to the plant, or varying degrees of purple. I've never seen a yllo one...

n i was lookin at my moms petunia leavs and the leaves have leaves tht are unsmoothe at the end and there not hairy
my leaves hve more hair thn my upper lip

Im just not seeing it man. Doesnt look AT ALL like any pot plant ive ever grown or seen. Go to google image and type in "young pot plant" or look around at all the grow logs on here. You will see that it looks nothing like pot. Rip one of the leaves off at the stem and if its doesnt look like the leaf behind the cannabis.com logo then its something else. Its gotta have more than one point. There should never be a leaf with one point on it except maybe right when it sprouts, but that leaf doesnt even really have a point its more rounded and only one of them.

Just look around at some pictures.

DUDE... IT'S NOT POT.
You threw seeds in the ground from a 20 year old stash and JUST got around to checking them?
First, germination rates and seedling vigor drop off starting at about 5 years.
Next, you have no proof that those plants grew from the seeds you threw out there.

It's a weed... not pot... don't smoke it!

Bro... hate to break to ya, but that's not weed at all. The stalk looks dark and barky. The stalk on marijuana is bright green and hollow.

IT'S NOT WEED!! ...not even Ruderalis! It has nothing to do with Cannabis at all.

For real, one of the people giving you advice is in an upcoming issue of High Times... I think that kind of ensures the street cred when it comes to simply identifying a Cannabis plant :jointsmile:

If the pictures ALL OVER the internet of young Cannabis seedlings aren't enough proof... yank a few beans out of a sack and grow them out 3-4 weeks.

And no... there isn't a home test kit for proving a plant is Cannabis. No drops or solutions at WalFart that glow green when dripped onto your test subject. The only sure way to know is keep growing it.... NOT SMOKE IT... and follow suggestions for raising a Cannabis plant through the entire cycle. If, after you complete the "flowering" stage, you can see evidence of developed sex parts... then we all owe you some serious reps.

Dude give it up! NOT POT!!!!!!!!!!!! Dosent even look close!!! AT ALLLLL!!!!

If you want to find out for your self, fine keep growing it and wasting your time and if you cant figure it out already, drying it wont help.

Get a cup of dirt and plant a POT seed in it and then if something grows (if the dirts clean) you will know that its pot and then you will realize how diffrent it looks from the plant you have now.

This is a site with many experince growers from around the world and they know what they are talking about! If that plant looked ANYTHING like pot then im sure everyone would have said to watch it until you know for sure but in this case we do know FOR SURE! Not most likely or maybe but FOR SURE! :wtf:

ok im no longer high and the second set of pic are hydraniums tht my mom planted tht had its seeds blown away and yes i did go wandering aimlessly on my moms gravel road stoned and no i dnt even remember takin pictures of the first set lol and idk my dads hippy seeds cme from....

and those last pictures were actually an indica dominant plant tht my bro tried to plant but he just abondonded so the made buds way too early(when they were aboput 3 inches tall for some reason?)
i tried saving it but i think i kiild it rerooting it cause when i put it under my incandescent light it just dried up and dint smell skunky but like body odor and the buds were like micro scopic

You actually got cannabis!!!!! :) no way to tell the strain, closest would be to tell if its sativa indica.... yeah..

**EDIT** its probably sativa but its like impossible to tell from seedlings, since when it gets more 'real' leaves they could be different then the first set :thumbsup:
