Just to shows you gotta appreciate what you have at the moment.

This guy is remarkable in my eyes. He could've chose to kill himself after attempting to kill himself which resulted in his deformed face. Instead, he saw he should just deal with the consequences of life head on. It's sad he learned the answers he sought after he deformed his face. But he learned.

It's happiness that matters anyway!

Man, that's an astonishing picture and what a sad story. How sad that he was in such pain that he harmed/disfigured himself so drastically. He's amazingly lucky to be alive. Hope his life is bearable now and worth living.

That's sad, especially that he is homeless as well.

I ususally do not tread in 'weak in the stomach' but I saw you and stumbled on the picture! I couldn't open the link for some dumb (most likely me or dial-up prob.) reason.

It reminded me of a doc friend of mine. He told me he had a friend that wanted to commit suicide and shot himself in the face with a shotgun, of all things! Destroyed the guys face and desire to kill himself, as well.

I have always wondered how the guy looked. That would be my guess.

ON further dicussion. We discussed it at length, enough I recal he referred to the guy as Kev. Said, "Kev is the happiest man on earth!" Once he tried and kill himself and failed, he simply lost the urge. I recall thinking, I would find it again! I remember a very detailed medical description of what damage was done and this is what I visioned and a little worse.

If this guy is homeless and in Hollywood (as per info form posts), he doesn't live far from the doc that claimed him as a good buddy! Wonder if the desire ever came back.

I am surprised he hasn't been all over the talk show circus of freaks, rating shows! I often wonder if they are educating people putting people on TV that are just frankly, difficult to look at for long terms. I have total admiration for people that can live with and be around these people all the time. I have known people that, If they looked like that after having been friends with them, I'd be there 100% to help them out, all the time, throughout life. Because finding new friends would be hard, looking like that. My hat is off to the ones that can look past a freak of accident or whatever and treat them like everyone else in a matter of fact way. At work, I had to, but was mostly trying to get it or something else fixed for the person. I do not recall having thoughts of how bad they look. And if I met the guy, I would most likely be the same way. But, I don't like sitting in my living room and looking at it on TV for an hour-turn off my TV. So, I think I have a problem on acceptance!:rastasmoke::hippy:
