been lurking too long, thought i'd jump in and start posting. up in the bellingham area. been trying to get my card, but i'm new to this state and have no idea how to go about it. was in the military for a looooong time, broke some body parts and developed some psych issues.
nice to see the mellow attitude on this site. i'll post more fun stuff once i'm legal. can anyone help me out with some co-op info?

There are only 2 doctors that I know of giving MMJ authorizations. A Dr. Havsy in Tacoma and Dr. Orvald working out of the THCF clinic in bellevue.

thanks for the response. i'm in an interesting sutuation. THCF requires medical records and i'm a recently separated vet. the military has that thing packed up somewhere and i doubt the VA docs are going to sign off on my request.
and not to bust on THCF, but the guy on the phone was talking to me like i was an idiot. i explained my situation and all the guy said was, "looks like you need to find a new doctor."

Yeah I would agree with your observations with the doctors. We don't have any decent MMJ doctors here. I've been dealing with Dr. Havsy and I don't much care for him. Seems like just snother pinhead trying to get rich off MMJ

I am surprised there are only 2 docs! This seems so unlikely especially in Whatcom county. I have severe depression/anxiety and bud is one of the only things that really helps my anxiety. :hippy:
I was really hoping to find out some more positive info.

There are other docs that will prescribe but they don't advertise so its hard to know which ones will prescribe.

i used dr havsy and paid my 175.
the comment about getting rich off of recommending is crazy. 175 is nothing compared to the money spent on pharmaceuticals, weed, other doctors and fines and punishment for possession.
he has an office, staff, and himself to sustain. he also is the only doctor in the area willing to risk the scrutiny of the board and courts.
also, he spent an hour with me. he didnt just run me in and push me out. he truely listens and cares.

This is funny killerweed420,
The prosecutor in grays harbor co. suggested I go to Dr. Havsy. When I investigated him, I found out he is a SSI/SSD guy who works for the state doing I.M.E.'s....interesting to say the least.
One of those arsineo hall moments: Things that make ya go Hmmmmmm?

I believe Dr. Orvald was the one that gave me my I.M.E. up in Poulsbo a couple years ago but I'm not sure. It looked like him.

Yep. I.M.E. means just that.
Our legislated MMJ law allows I.M.E.....This is how we get our documents signed by Dr.'s like Orvald...the one's whom sign the document stating they are treating us, not diagnosed us(these two documents are different). They only evaluate our conditions via medical records history and a quick once over. We do not treat with them on a continual basis like we would with other physician-patient relationship.

I went through this place. They are in Bellevue a couple times a year.
