so i had this huge chocolate fudge brownie tonight - at a restaraunt, NO weed in it whatsoever... and since i've been eating very strictly for the past 3 months and have not had any chocolate, or much sugar, i guess this brownie kinda got to me...

i felt fucked up guys, like fuuuuuucked up. like, smoked a blunt fucked up. it was one of those cab rides home that i was glad someone else was talking to the cab driver and handling the money, b/c all i was just staring out the window, not really noticing or caring where i was.

chocolate and caffiene are "drugs", could my body really have forgotten what sugar and chocolate felt like? i swear i still feel like i'm buzzing, and it's not the "hyper" buzz u get from sugar, i really feel like im fucking high

and now that my body feels high, and my brain is registering that this is what high feels like, i'm starting to create the sensations of actually being high... like my eyes are dry, i'm couch-locked, and i've been quite giggly...

i kinda feel like im gonna get some :yeahright: comments, but iv been smoking for 5 years, i know what stoned feels like.

:i feel stupid:thoughts?

hmm well i did have chicken.

but it wasn't a sick feeling at ALL, my stomach is fine, im not feeling naseaus or anything. just picture feeling high.

to be quite honest with you, i think it's the caffeine. i don't drink coffee, and i don't drink caffienated tea ever, i wake up in the morning w/ an apple & a shower, i think coffee is artificial energy, and as a personal trainer i like to feel my own energy.

but going without any sort of caffiene for 3 months, no chocolate, coffee, caff-tea, my body's tolerance to it lowered, and poof.

the only thing is, i don't feel jumpy or buzzy the way you do after a few cups of coffee, i feel fucking mellow as shit, and my eyes are droopy...

i really think my brain thinks im high and is telling my body to behave accordingly.

i'm telling u, im going another 3 months w/out caffiene if i can feel this way a few times a year. cuz damn.

edit: oh yea, the chicken came on white bread, which i also never eat.. bleagh, but that doesn't really constitute food poisoning, even though white bread is pretty revolting.

You coulda got a triple shot espresso or some such thing. Maybe you are a real light eater and have high sensitivity. Makes me think of when I fast every once in a while. Ill go 2-3 days with just water, then ill have a nice apple cinnamon cup of tea, decaffeinated, and its pretty euphoric. But light food poisoning can make you feel a bit 'high' as well, sometimes without the nausea

i'd hate to blame this all on food poisoning, the chicken tasted pretty good :p

Caffeine is more of a drug than we seem to realize. I believe you, man. I knew someone who experienced the same kinda thing.

Unless...the brownie did have some cannabis in it. Do you really know? ;)

and thank YOU, sir, (oh wow i just saw your name is Sir Bliss) for believing me. The waitress WAS pretty chill, she did sell me on the brownie in the first place, so maybe she had something special in it for me :upsidedow

i'm just coming down off of whatever that was. my body stopped buzzing but my head is kind of still foggy.

quite a little experience. might try and change it up to an experiment and wait another couple months, see if the same things happen.

Cheers to organic drugs! :s4: hahaha

Do you look like someone that would fit the stereotype of somebody that smokes? You said the waitress did suggest it. Id go back again soon when shes working and try that one again. If she did have something to do with it and shes sees your cool about it then maybe she will let you in on he little secret (if this is the reason). But then again it is her job were talking about and then again it is her job were talking about so i dont think anyone would be dumb enough to do that at work but stranger things have happened :wtf:

an interesting question, do i fit the profile of someone who smokes... i'd say... what IS the profile of someone who smokes? I'm a 23 year-old gay guy (though you wouldn't know it by looking at me, I guess I don't fit that profile either :S3:) and I was sitting with my Aunt & Uncle (we were catching some grub after seeing the Salvador Dali exhibit @ the Museum of Modern Art - fucking awesome exhibit, I highly suggest it) I'd be hard-pressed to think the waitress would go out of her way to slip me some chronic chocolate lol, although I'd love to find a place where that happened.

i gotta say though, after taking a 2 1/2 month break from our favorite green stuff, that caffiene/chocolate/sugar/awesome-fantastic-brownie high was the best thing I've felt in a whiiiiiiile.

Good stuff, mates, good stuff.

Man... i know what youre talking about... i also got "high" from chocolate... like... i hardly eat any chocolate at all, so one easter i indulged in eating chocolate at one of my friends home... the next day, i was feeling VERY relaxed, peaceful, contented... much like i feel the day after i smoke a lot... that time i didnt smoked yet, so i didnt knew that it was so alike being slightly high.

Also, after i become a regular smoker, i noticed when i was having a break, whenever i finished eating (and i eat a lot of carbohydrates) i would feel my body becoming heavy and relaxed, what is usual from eating too much carbohydrates. BUT, as i already was a smoker, i also felt the symptoms of being high, like an increase in the intensity of the colors, dry mouth, slow thoughts and such...

So i agree with you that probably our brains learned how is to be high, so whenever we feel anything that resembles the beginning of a high, our brain triggers the rest of the high by itself. My experience and yours seems to confirm it.

It would explain why many newbies dont get so high as experienced users when they smoke the same amount of weed (even when they inhale properly)... because their brain still didnt learn how is to be high, so they dont feel all the effects we experienced users feel.

It also would explain the effect called reverse tolerance, that is as more experienced we get, less weed we need to get high (since our tolerance dont be too high). It is because most of the high would be triggered by the brain itself, and not by the weed. The weed would trigger only the first effects, then the brain would make all the rest of the high, so we need few weed, only enough to start the high.

And it would explain too the fact that many persons (myself included) get a bit high by handling weed... maybe the smell of the weed, or the fact we usually handle it before smoking is enough to trigger the "high" reflex of the brain... much like the dogs of the Pavlov experience (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_conditioning#Pavlov.27s_experiment)... i hope some day i learn how to become high just by thinking, without any need to smoke... it will be amazing! Never have to worry again about dealers, cops, prices, drug tests, etc... :stoned:

you bring up MILLIONS of excellent points, my friend, only one of which I will address at present, considering it's 330am where I am, and I need to be up @ 745 (fucking exercising)

First of all, let me say that i'm honored you can identify with my experience. I've read up on a lot of your input on the Green Dragon thread, and have come to respect your opinions (though as someone who has never made GD, anyone with a successful batch is 10 feet tall to me :p)

but what i wanted to say was, conditioning our brains to behave high and all that, THINKING about it without smoking, and getting high is..... here's the thing, my aunt smoked cigarettes for a real long time, and when she finally stopped, she found she could not do things she normally could with a cigarette in her hand. She couldn't relax, she couldn't concentrate, etc... so what she'd do was, if she needed to concentrate to, say, read, she'd close her eyes and picture a cigarette in her hand... smell the smell, taste the taste, and suddenly the effects were upon her, she'd feel as though she just had a cigarette, and boom, she's good to go.

she's big into meditation, so i'm sure it was easy for her to, i dunno, open her third eye or whatever. but if she could do that, who's to say we can't put a button on our brains and just decide when to trigger a high?

alright, im gonna go to sleep, but SOMEbody start doing this! :420thought:
