I have one of those. It's pretty sweet. You can get a battery pack with it so you can take it anywhere. It definitely gets you stoned. The only slight problem with it is that there is a plastic taste while you break it in. Good value for money. :stoned::stoned::D

Hey Rev. I have one. They Suck. I bought a real vaporizer 2 weeks after i spend 20 bucks on it. I hardly got high and I kept getting a headache from sucking air in and inhaling Butane from my lighter. Not awesome.

thanks for the input!
I have a volcano just wondering about an alternative to traveling with a vaporizer instead of a pipe

If you want travel, get a small A/C vape. Then get an A/C to D/C adapter and plug it in your cigarette lighter!
I am so proud of myself--learning about electrical stuff in here! pr

I had a couple little glass vial-type 'pocket vaporizers', they came as gifts ... I didn't think much of them, actually ... a cop friend of mine suggested I might have a real hard time convincing other cops, that they are meant for pot, as they look too much like tweekers' poison pipes ... something to think about :smokin:

Dude, I think the end of your search is near...ever hear of a Vapor Genie?
Home (http://www.vaporgenie.com/)
(i have the lighter colored one in the picture of the light & dark wood genies)
A little background: my boyfriend bought the HerbalAire vaporizer for himself and I last year. He's a vocalist and didn't want to deal with the stress of inhaling so many carcinogens via combustion. Anyway, the purchase came with a free Vapor Gene, a pocket vaporizer, and he gave it to me as a gift.
Let me tell you... that little fucker will set you on your ass. It takes some getting used to, and you need a steady hand to light it so you don't burn anything, but if used properly it can deliver quite a nice high. Total vaporization.
Seems to be what you're looking for as far as pipe-replacement goes. Good luck with your search.

any vaporizer that you have to manually vaporize the herbs is NOT a good or safe vaporizer.
Lets say your heating that glass piece in your car, what happens if it slips? or falls on you? Glass + heat= hot glass!
If you truly want to smoke on the go, then vaporizing with that steamroller (which it basically is) would be more difficult than just packing a bowl or even rolling a joint. Not worth the effort
If you want a real vaporizer that was made for portability, you gotta go for the oxygen mini. its not even that expensive! Obviously, im a Mini whore

there is not one inch of glass on the VaporGenie, it's a wooden casing that does not ever get hot, and the only part that gets hot is the metal crucible that you heat to vape the weed. and as far as dropping it and it falling on you, you're more likely to get burned by hot glass if you've been smoking a glass pipe for a while and it slips. Not only that, but if you dropped a pipe, you'd lose your weed. with the Genie you have the benefit of not losing weed, as it is contained in a chamber.
Honestly....

Honestly....I agree. The Genie, used correctly, IS both a good and safe vaporizer. You're not heating the exposed metal enough so that you can't just put it in your pocket (assuming the pocket is big enough) after a hit. Saying it's "not worth the effort" makes the incorrect assumption that everyone has the same standards and VaporGenie skills. For me, vapor is always worth the effort vs. smoke.

The vaporgenie utilizes silicon carbide for its ceramic filter. Silicon Carbide SiC has been linked to various respiratory ailments including cancer. The manufacturer of vaporgenie states the filter does not release any toxins but I read that the filter burns away with continued usage.

Dude, I've got one and have used it. It's highly portable but it doesn't work as well as a full blown (no pun) vaporizer. Seems to me it is highly dependent on technique as to whether you get a good toke on it or not so there might be a learning curve. I like the Vapolution because it is glass on glass with very pure taste and it is portable as well, just not AS portable as the little glass pipe thingy with the torch lighter. Oh, and the torch lighter won't last very long using it that way with a vaporizer pipe so buy lots of extra fuel if you get one. They give you a small bottle with the vaporizer. I mainly bought mine because I'm going on a trip where I thought it might be a discreet way of sneaking a toke in between whatever I'm doing. I wasn't that impressed with it so far but the real test will be on my 5 day trip. (and I mean literally a trip like going someplace) :D

You could smoke some crack out of that, but I wouldn't put buds in it.....

Yes, but in the directions it says "no crack smoking in this pipe" :-)
Actually though you could but when you vape the weed there are explicit directions NOT to hold the flame while inhaling. You heat it first then remove the flame and draw.
