Aloha, I germed 4 bubble n' squeak from SOG back in... may! I LST'd them and then put them into flower on the 30th of July, all turned out to be females!!! I want to mention that I have an OG kush X Trainwreck thrown in there... These plants (B&S) are very easy and fun to grow, they're a tad bit sensitive to overfertilizing (I used fox farm's ocean forest soil which tends to be too hot)
I've got a little 4X2 (a little bigger, but about that) hydrohut, 2 switchable ballast 250W hps/mh, a hydrofarm CO2 injection system, and I'm flowering with Rainbow Mix Bloom (from planet natural, planetnatural.com). This mix of nutes has never done me wrong, a mix of guanos and other stuffs, along with mycorhizzhae
The top row of pics were 2 days before the bottom two.
The far right pic on the top row shows kind of how they end up growing when I train them. I use my own version of LST, starting with twist ties and moving toward heavier guage wire as they get bigger.
Oh, bubble n' squeak's family tree... Double bubble (bubblegum X Double Dutch) X Big Buddha's Cheese

Here's day 13 of flower. I'm watering using Roots Organics "Trinity" which apparently gives the micro population a little boost with some molasses and agave (among many other things..)
Seems to be helping!

Here's day 15 of flower for the B&S, the OG kush X Trainwreck isn't flowering nearly as fast, with the same treatment.
So far seeing very very uniform growth among the plants.. gonna be close to pick a mother... oh well, won't be for another harvest at least before I narrow it down to one.
Oh, and the first picture is the same bud from the second post.. 2 days later lol, crazy growth!
Oh, threw in Jorge Cervante's grow bible for size reference, useful book.. don't seem to need it much, but useful to have around!

What's your soil mix dude?!?

I used fox farm's ocean forest, but I'm in the process of switching to Roots Organics soil because ocean forest is too hot, and I like roots' trinity product. I'm really lazy and my time is important to me so I'd rather have the pros mix it for me, with the time, gas, and money it would take for me to mix up 30 gallons of the stuff, I'd rather spend the 60 bucks.

Off topic, but have anyone here eaten 'bubble and squeek?' it's traditional leftovers made into breakfast "hash" often it's corned beef, cabbage and potato but any meat, vegetable and potato leftover are used.
BTW, great log you've started. Good Luck!

Bud smokers! I've been gone since... the 20th, haven't been here to take pics and what not BUT I did take some right before I left! These would be DAY 22 of flower!
will post some later tonight when the lights get back on, stuck my hand up their bonnets (dirty bastard... I know) and they're feeling fine, plumping up a bit! they feel like... eh... large quail eggs... or like a chicken's first egg, small.. about the size of the last section of my thumb.
Hoping they'll be little footballs! (b cup at least!)
Sorry for all the female connotations (right word?) I love all of ya!

zlessley, those are some really sweet-lookin' ladies! I really appreciate the pictures of the same bud, as it truly helps to gauge growth, of which you seem to have your grow dialed in perfectly!
I saw your reflectors are from HTGSupply; are your entire lighting setups from HTGS? If so, how do you like them - pros and cons? I'm looking to invest in a HPS/MH conversion in the near future, and am looking for any and all input.
Thanks for sharing your sweet grow! Be good out there!

Hey Jakezking! Only the better one is from HTG supply, I bought it off their ebay store I believe, great deal and they sent me some specialty bulbs. I will be expanding here in a bit, as soon as I'm signed up as another patient's caregiver (should get the forms today) I'll be allowed 18 plants total and I'd like to keep the tent as the veg room and then black and white vinyl off a 36 square foot area with 3 600W Lights. In other words, I won't have to turn on the heat this winter! woo! :)
I don't QUITE have this grow dialed in, I need more plants in this space, and it would be helpful if they were all the same plant and the same age. Soil definitely helps to baby them. They get all the growing room they want, a steady supply of organic nutrients, and a lot of air to the roots.
Peace,
Z

Z, I appreciate your conveying your satisfaction with HTGSupply. It is the most likely store from which I will order. It sounds like they have a really good customer satisfaction record.
Your grow will be growing pretty soon, eh? I look forward to following along with your expansion. Hopefully you will have no problem in having your forms approved! Be good out there!

Sorry to hijack, but Jake if you are not in a big hurry to buy the light, just keep watching ebay, I just got a 1000w hps (sunlight supply) with 6" cooltube for under 200 shipped.
Again, sorry for the hijack:D

Flipsters, Hipsters, and finger poppin' daddies!
Welcome to day 30 of the original style Bubble n' Squeak bloom! Thank you all for reading this thread and submitting such nice posts! Thank you ralphbuick, I'm trying my best to not only document the grow, but to make it nice to look at too! Too often I run across great grows with shitty pictures, and I just end up looking elsewhere; I'm glad this isn't the case here.
I'm no photo snob (like I can afford to be!), I use a Canon 400D (Rebel XTi) with a sigma zoom lens, 28-70mm, that's it, no fancy shit (I know, it seems complex.. but it's really the very low end of the spectrum as far as good cameras go) Oh I use a pirated Photoshop CS3 Extended :) pass the freaking rum matey :rastasmoke:
Oh, finally set up my own veg closet, just under 3 shop lamps, each bulb apparently puts out 3035 lumens... so that's 18210 lumens total? so.. divide that by 2500.. that's about 7.48ish (in my head.. sorry) square feet I should have.. that looks about right!
Please stay tuned! I'm going to be blooming plants indefinitely!

eh.. just some more.. can't fit em all on one post! I have the large (3000+ pixels wide) version of the last picture if anyone wants a copy... I set it as my background cuz it's just so purdy (sorry.. I hate that word..)
