My seedlings seem to keep failing at the same point in growth out of 3 tries now.
Right when the second set of true leaves starts to emerge all hell breaks loose. This time around there was some slight discoloration, then I put a dome over it to up the humidity since it stays 16% in the house, or so my gauge says. Then the browning got worse, and the new growth started showing brown. The first pic is at day 9 from sprout, and the 2nd is today and the 3rd is from about 10 min ago. Its going downhill fast.

Conditions:
-Scotts Premium Topsoil (has peat in it and is pretty loose so i didnt add
perlite)
-Fan blowing on it constantly
-about 12 1/4" holes in bottom of cup for drainage
-Temps flux between 73-82
-dont know the humidity inside the dome, but droplets formed on the inside of the cup so it had to be high(wish i was:( )

I have since takin it out of the dome since the soil is still soaked from being flushed with 6.9 phed water(3xpot size) and put it in the actual grow cab. Humidifier is going off for 30 min every 2 hours and the exhaust fan is blowing constantly.

Ive looked and looked and can come up with nothing other than maybe overwatering but i thought that made the leaves droop, not turn brown.

I feel that 1 more false move and it will be done for.. again.
please help...

So, like I said on your other thread, it looks like you are burning the leaves. You need to move that light bulb out of the way entirely. Just kitchen window _indirect_ sunlight is good enough.

I'm not familiar with with soils though, what is that mix and is it rated for seedlings?

It says "a blend of organic material plus peat" and says its great for seedling and root develpment because of the peat.

I moved the light away, put the dome back on and whiped it out so droplets shouldnt form hopefully and turned off the humidifier. I guess spraying the inside of the dome is for clones and not seedlings?

I posted this thread because the other probably wouldnt get attention from anyone because of the title, and it looks like you where posting on the other as I would doing this one. I hate to be annoying and repetative, but I am sick of failing at this.

You don't happen to have them in a grow tent?

It is looking worse this morning. Very little plain green left, right in the middle. Camera is dead so I cant take a pic and now I have to go to work...

That is not Scotts topsoil, that is cedar bark mulch. Your seedlings are fucked, start over.

Topsoil can mean about anything- it's meant to patch up the lawn. You need a seedling starting mix with no ferts.
Cedar chips are for keeping the ground clear under your shrubbery and have NO PLACE in an indoor grow. That is what killed your seedlings, not the light, which is adequate but could be increased if you have temps under control.

You really should read the link in my sig. That stuff is important.
