Hey everyone. It's time for me to upgrade my ventilation.

My room is 260 cubic feet. (5'w x 6'h x 8'd).

Currently all i have for ventilation is a beefy computer fan (80 - 130 CFM) hooked up to a home made carbon filter and 1 passive 4" intake from a window (fresh air!).

also i have 2 400 watt hps lights with floranova hoods (4" flanges for cooling). I have 4" dryer hose coming off those, being pulled by another of the exact same fans as above.

my temps range from 73 - 88 F

my RH% range from 67% - 88% (i know...i know...that's why i'm upgrading...)

so...here's a pic of my current setup and a crap drawing of my proposed setup. What do you think?

I'll be taking the 2 fans described above and either doing active intakes, or additional exhaust on the other side of the room with them.

Will a 250 CFM fan be enough to pull air through the carbon filter and exhaust both lights like the drawing shows? or should i add some 4" inlines/boosters to the lights?

should i separate the lights from the main duct entirely?

thanks.

I Think ur gonna need a larger fan than 250 cfm...hps lights get pretty hot, and especially if you have two. look into a powerful blower and find out the correct intake amount. better to have more pull than not enough!
