Just wanted to share a personal experience so some of you can learn from it

Me and 2 friends just bought 2 dimes, we were on our way back to my friends apartment when we stopped at a dot shop to get some blunts. I pulled up in the fire lane (dont ever do that) threw my hazard lights on and went inside.
In less than a minute I was out of the store, and there was a guy standing on the sidewalk looking at my car (I drive a Crown Vic police interceptor, I get alot of looks) I opened my door and began to get in when the man walked up to me and this was our conversation
Him: "why is your car parked here"
me: "why is it any of your business"
him: "theres a spot right over there you couldve parked in"
me: "what the fuck do you want man"
him: -pulls badge out of his shirt- "I want you to step out of the vehicle and put your hands on the hood"

At this point Im shitting bricks, I had no fucking idea this guy was a pig.
he said he was placing me under arrest because he ran the license plate, and the owner of the vehicle apparently had warrants
I am the legitimate owner of the vehicle, my name is only name on the title, and it is registered to me, and NO I did not have ANY warrants, or ANY unpaid tickets. This goes to show cops can say whatever the fuck they want.

At this point a few other officers were arriving, and within minutes all of my friends were in handcuffs. The cop asked my 17 year old friend if he had any ID, he said no, and then the cop asked if he had any ID in the car, and my friend said no again, and told the officer he didnt even own any sort of ID.
But the cop said he was going to search for ID in the car
More fucking bullshit, just an excuse to search my car.

-edit-(I took a break when I was writing this part to smoke a blunt with some mates, so Im sorry if i fuck up some spelling or something)

The cop searched the glovebox and found my weed "accidentally" so all three of us got hit with possession under 50g. :[

I got a good lawyer and got the charges dropped, my one one friend got the charges dropped too, but my other friend who was sitting passenger (infront of the glovebox) got hit with the charges :\ sucks

fuck i really forget what i was gonna say when i made this thread
but just like, be careful cause cops can really do whatever the fuck they want, because in court its you, against the government you know, you cant win.

I didnt learn anything that i didnt know instinctively know from the time i was 15. you should be more concerned with what YOU learned! Like not parking illegally when you have weed, not being rude to people when youre braking simple laws, not braking simple laws when you are buying something to smoke with, not braking laws with a bunch of teenagers in the car that leads cops to look. I was told a long time ago in regards to transporting.... if you are breaking the big rules always follow the little ones! but Im sorry this happened to you!

Ha, I know I messed up big time
The whole Idea is so the younger crowd can learn from my mistakes

Most of todays youth have no common sense whatsoever, and they all think there lawyers.

Cops make lots of fuck ups and lucky for you, he did an illegal search and seizure.
Happens all the time.

Or maybe he was hard up for some personal smoke. :rastasmoke:

I think the cop woulda taken it lighter if you didnt give him such a smart ass attitude in the beggining he probably woulda been lighter on you... unless he saw what you had bought and got suspicious. in the end he woulda searched the car any ways cops are dicks and when they ask to search your car
yes means yes and no means yes

It just goes to show, cops can and will say/do anything to get a bust. Even totally stuff your 4th amendment rights or any other right you have.

There is one big problem I see here. People don't know that a cop can in no way enter your vehicle or home without your consent unless they have cause. Parking illegally is not considered just cause, nor is searching for someones ID. This case should never have made it to any court and the cop should have been fired.

Want to see some serious law breaking by the cops, watch DEA on the spike channel. That will piss you off.

Know your rights.

Which is why I record any encounter with law enforcement on my phone...then when they lie about it in court they get caught in that lie, then there's no ignoring it.

You aren't aware of your rights, sure you broke the law, but it was nothing you could've been arrested for..perhaps your car towed but not arrested..

In the sticky there's a video that shows what you can legally do when in a sticky situation...best way to avoid it though..don't break the law when you're on wheels..

I'd be sure of what state your in and what Dept. your dealing with before you break out a video camera. Sounds like a quick and easy way to get bitch smacked and have ur phone or camera smashed into a million pieces. Try this at your own risk. PoPo always enjoys a smart ass.

If this wasn't so damn true it would be hysterical.
I'm a law abiding, freedom loving American with a real beef against the police in the modern age. They've become the brown shirt thugs of yesteryears Germany.

Take this as a lesson.

Whenever I have ANYTHING(meaning anything, if my car floor isn't vacuumed, or there might be a chance that there is something on the floor, I drive as much like a jewish grandma as possible(no offense to any jewish grandmas, its just a refference)

Do the same.

I'll still be recording audio of any encounters I happen to have...I can understand no video, but if there's a state you cannot record audio of your traffic stop, please tell me because I wont be moving there.

the best thing is use blinkers, slow turns, don't break lanes..basically like you drove in driver's education, I do all the time, and the only times I get pulled over, I've done nothing wrong, and they know I know that because of what I say..nothing further, have a good evening.

People who wont stand up to cops are the reason they are the way they are. I will never as an American let them trump my rights again. Never. Thousands of Americans died to ensure we have liberty and rights, wont catch me taking them for granted.

wow, you smart-mouthed a cop :D ... I've done that, too :D ... I got arrested, too :wtf: ... in fact, back in MY day, I got a pretty good 'cop's attitude-adjustment ass-whuppin', to go with the charges, too :( ... it taught me to keep my big mouth shut, be courteous, and 99% of the time, ya walk away ... can't tell you how many times 'common courtesy' sent me home with a warning, instead of a bail slip - 'you reap what ya sow' ... better luck next time ... I bet you tell your kids this very same thing, some day ... :smokin:
