Y is 1 of my 3 outdoor plants looking bad?
the other 2 R looking just fine. just fine indeed.
the soil is not too dry at all. and I don't think the soil is to wet eather. but maybe.
It is in the 100 temps outdoors in south texas.
so what caused my plants to do this.

Looks like heat wilt to me.
How they handle heat depends on what kind of shape the roots are in.
Not much you else can do, but wait it out.
Wouldn't hurt to take a soil sample near wilting Wilma and get out your good magnifying glass to look for nematodes and larvae
I'd watch 'em real close now.
Bugs n disease like to kick 'em when they're down.
Good luck

Since surrounding plants don't appear to be affected, not likely an above-ground issue, but possibly a root thing.
Does the sun hit the base of the plant? Is there a protective layer of mulch, to protect the soil (and roots) from excessive heat?

Is there a protective layer of mulch? yes.
but I think it is from the sun cuz she was looking just fine by the after noon.
