Or better yet, create your own group, I am trying to give the few people that may have a similar opinion to mine a place to converse without having to be labled a "nazi, racists, neo-con whom is out to destroy the world, ect. ect., .

Sure there is a problem on here with people blurring the lines between medical use of cannabis and that of recreational use.

How about making the anti cannabis group?

Sure there is a problem on here with people blurring the lines between medical use of cannabis and that of recreational use.


The idea is for people that don't buy what the "Activists for Cannabis" are selling. I am a true activist, not a mindless sheep activist that so many others are. You know, the type that are commonly associated with cannabis activism. It is not an anti-cannabis group.

If you are going to go to the trouble of calling into question the legitimacy of a group or post, you might want to actually read the entire thing first instead of the first sentence or title.

Could be more positive and proactive members of cannabis "activism". Debunk the sterotypes, rumors, and lies.

Most are pushing cannabis activitism to legalize it for a recreational drug....

It's perfectly fine for people to break with stereotypes here and say things or discuss topics that others don't agree with. What's not fine is for people to get obnoxious and immature in the process. Seriously, grow up. This sort of silliness is not good for cannabis advocates or these forums. I'll close this thread up if I have to, but I shouldn't have to. You're supposed to be grownups here.

What is it that's gotten into everyone tonight? The summer heat? No need for any answers. That's a rhetorical question.

When you create a group with 'anti' in its title, what do you expect to happen? From here, it looks like putting the shiny lure out to see which fish will bite it first. And that is more commonly known as trolling.
I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt for now that trolling was not your intent. However, when I see posts deleted that are PERFECTLY polite and in keeping with a discussion of activism for different LEVELS of medical use, stating that even recreational use is often medically valuable, I start to wonder. And no offense to SG, but we've had our differences in the past week... and I'm STILL in agreement with him!

If that group becomes a nightmare to moderate, or causes flame wars to spill over into other parts of the site, it's going to disappear permanently.

Meanwhile, I'm going to ask nicely for you to think about re-naming the group in a less in-your-face, confrontational manner.
