What are everybody's views on the two methods of vaping? What are the pros and cons? Any difference in the high? thanks

hands free whip cause the bag is too big and bulky

i agree tex, it is a tad bulky in a way and loud, I hate that crinkling all the time...try and vape on the d/l with that noise...
however I prefer a bag over a whip still. I just cant get over how some ppl lube up the whip and you get it and it's all wet. Usually I don't bust the vape out with friends because of that. (this was before the bag) no more whip now.

Plus I like to see the delicious, thick vapor goodness before I enjoy it

I think it works quick, (whip) and is like Rum, hits you fast and you don't really realize it unless you do a reality check and find you are on your butt! Plus, I felt pretty high fast! May depend (I think a lot on type of herb). pr

I like a whip- it's sleek, simple, easy to keep clean, streamlined, and doesn't remind me of an empty boob-job bag.

well, I got to Illinois, visited family and friends, but quickly decided to cut the trip short, and return to CA ... figured I better 're-group', make some living/travel plans first, and 'tour America' later ... just too hard on the knees, between driving and trying to nap in a Honda Civic :wtf: ... going tomorrow to see about trading for a new, fullsize van, and start over ... hopefully, a buddy in IL can help me convert it to 'camping' capabilities ... I refuse to collect rent receipts, and can't hack the piss-poor gas mileage of a motorhome, either ... so, a 'urban-camping' I will go

Bagged vapor is easy. Just add herb, turn it on and suck it out when it's full. You can carry a bag of vapor around the house or take it with you in the car. You can fill a bag while you're busy doing something else. So bags have some convenience pluses. All the hits are the same, but the vapor is mixed with more air than with a whip, so it's not as tasty as direct draw. Using a whip, you get some big, delicious hits and that makes the vaping process more enjoyable. But you also have some less than tasty hits at the end, and there's a learning curve with a whip. So you have to decide which features fit you best. If you can't decide you can get the Extreme or herbalAire and have both methods. ;)

take it with you in the car.

this I wouldn't recommend, BUT I see what you're saying, and I agree. but being able to walk around with it does kick ass

Has anyone else used the vapor dome without the whip and just hit it from where you put the whip into the dome? It's kinda like a shotgun hit of vapor, pretty enjoyable.

Two very great ways to enjoy your bud i say. I like the whip when im hanging with friends or being lazy and the bag when i have to celebrate something like my favorite show being on. Nothing beats those massive awesome tasting hits!

In case of a cop stop or accident, much better to have an empty vapor bag in the car than hardware. If you're using in the car, better to be the passenger than the driver, but we know how that goes. ;)

I prefer the whip, but I can't really speak on bags since I've never used a vaporizer that uses bags.

Does anyone know what happens to a vapor once the temperature goes below the vaporization temperature?

I'll give you a hint. It is how distilled water and distilled spirits are made. The substance is heated to the vaporization temperature, cooled then condensed into its pure form.

If you think you can carry around a bag or balloon filled with any kind of vapor and cool it down below its vapor temp and it still stays in its vapor form, then your bag/balloon has A LOT of condensed vapor on surface. The only thing left in a bag/ballon that has been cooled down, is the air that was blown in by the fan.

If you use a bag/balloon or a bulb type vaporizer, inhale the vapor ASAP or else time and a decreaseing temperature will condense the vapor to the sides.

Bags are more convenient for groups. And you actually get to drool over the vapor as it is created.

You can't store bagged vapor for hours, but it doesn't condense as fast as you imply. And condensation is worse with glass than it is with oven bags.

I prefer whips, but here is my input from the top of my head.

Both keep your lungs healthy, help conserve herb, and are very efficient. Either type is definitely worth it.
"Browns" or the vaped weed leftovers are also great for cooking.

Whips are better for small/personal sessions (small & quiet). Power cord limits reach.
Bags are very convenient for group sessions. The power cord won't tie you down.

Whips take less than 2 min to go from bud>grinder>whip>vapor>lungs.
Bags take a little longer, but mainly because of the warm up/set up time and bag filling.

Whips, you can set it aside and resume your session whenever you want.
Bags, (like others have said) are somewhat limited with time, as I've seen bags have almost 25% of vapor condense within the first hour.

Whips you can precisely control how much vape you get from your herb. You can easily tell how much there is left to potentially vape.
Bags can be filled more than once from the same bowl, but it's a little harder to tell how much is left to vape.

Whips can have resin scraped from the glass. All parts are easy to clean (hot water & soap) and only need changing/cleaning of screens (which can also be reused). A $2 pack of screens lasts for a very long time.
Bags last for a fairly long time and parts are easily cleaned with alcohol. However, replacement bags and parts are a bit costly.

I prefer the whip because I can taste the MJ better through it and I personally get much larger hits through the whip than through the bag. But, to each his own. The bag is still fun sometimes. :P Although vaping is excellent for my depression, it doesn't help my anxiety as much, even when vaping at extremely high temps (260 C, for example, which is overkill, I know). I love vaping in the morning and hitting my bong at night to get the most CBD's at night! :D I've got an Extreme Q, BTW and love it. My bong is a flat-foot Grav Labs bong and I love it as well. hehe

Hey Herbal,

I thought (please excuse my noobiness) gaping was smoking that reduced herb sticky material. I guess I am wrong. What exactly is whip? I feel seriously noob on this topic.

whip for a lot of reasons, but the vapor is cooler in a bag since it can sit there... whips are just cooler in general though
