I'm considering buying my first vape, and I think i like the extreme vaporizer by arizer ($300) & the HerbalAire ($250). I anyone could way in on these two with opinions or reccomendations i would be greatful. Both offer whip and bag style vaping. thanks :stoned:

Herbalaire for life! Never tried the other one you speak of but i can tell ya that the herbalaire is the best vape ive ever used (other than volcano of course) Im not a big fan of the way it uses bags though. It doesnt have a built in fan so the fan is external. All it is is a fish tank air pump that uses a little tube to connect to the herbalaire which blows the air into the bag. I really just dont like having to use two power cords (one for pump, one for vape) But when it comes to hitting straight from the vape it rocks! So easy to pack and use and it hits sooo good! My question to you would be which operation you want to use the most? Dont get me wrong the bags hit great! Its just getting them filled that i dont like.
Hope this helps.

I would probably be using the bag mostly. The two powercords thing is the drawback i'm concerned about as well. How does the bag hit (compared to the volcano if you can, as that is my only experience with vapes)?

I've been using the herbalAire for 2 yrs and like it a lot. There's a plus to an external pump. If it dies you can easily buy a replacement and you're back in business. I'd have to give the herbalAire the edge in reliability. Quite a few Extremes have had one problem or another. But customer service is excellent on both models. My herbalAire quit on me last year but I'm pretty sure it was my fault due to sloppy cleaning of the heating chamber. They told me to return it and shipped me a brand new one before mine had even left my local UPS location. I got the whole kit too, bags and pump included.
As for the direct draw part, I don't enjoy the herbalAire that way. It's effective, but doesn't supply the high volume hits of a good whip vape. The Extreme, which I've used in whip mode, is more enjoyable via the whip, but not as nice as some of the better whip-only units.
Either one is fine for bag use-just as good as the Volcano. With constant airflow and consistent heat, pretty much any bag vape does a good job. If anything, the herbalAire is more efficient than the Volcano, and you don't have to grind your herb. The 18 tiny inlet holes for the heated air in the herbalAire do a great job on pieces of herb, making the process, including cleaning, a lot easier. It's also cheaper to have multiple bags on hand for the Extreme and herbalAire vs. the Volcano. They all use the same bags too.

Yeah i never thought of it that way! I have a vapir one with the built it fan and sometimes it acts weird and doesnt work right so it would be nice if i could just stick a new pump on there. I just dont like all the cords and tubes with the herbalaire but once you get the hang its one of the best for sure!

I just dont like all the cords and tubes with the herbalaire A clean look is not the herbalAire's strong point for sure, but a separate pump has its advantages, like for direct draw it's just not there. Disconnect the tubing and you have a nice, lightweight unit you can hold in your hand. ;)
