thats, like some of you, why im here.

Here we have 10 White Skunk seeds from the White Label imprint of Sensi Seeds, i believe.

I'm proud to have gotten these seeds and look forward to giving them my shot at a simple indoor grow.

You'll notice a few other plants in the background. refer to my other threds for whats up and any advice/questions you might have for them.

i just finished WL white skunk.......boy do they grow fast.....check out my old log.....they were almost 4ft...at just 28 days of veg. The trunks grow like coke cans literly.....i bought 3 packs after i grew it.....i only grew 2 both turned out male.....but the vigor on this strain is amazing!......High PPM....they will eat anything you feed them....i ran them as high as 1300ppm/.5conversion not one sign of leaf burn! good luck.....ill be watchin this one

Heres my link:

http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/155281-newbie-cfl-grow-could-use-advice-criticism-3.html

PS......the strain is to easy to clone......5 days you should have roots.....took 13 clones before i knew they were males....all 13 rooted in 8 days!

Charas,

You need to check those seeds every 8 hours after 24. I have had seeds pop in 24 hours to over 72. If left in the towel to long, over 24 hours after they pop they will begin to grow into the paper towel and you will possibaly damage the tap root when removing them.

You need to check them now!!!! I have noticed seeds from seed banks pop very fast.

well, today so far we have six sprouts above soil, enjoying their new light.
they are growing vigorously, like a weed.

i'm just watering them with ph 6 h20. zero nutes in seedling mix.

also, i have several nutes, pretty much half the general hydro line.
:thumbsup:i know, it was a very generous gift that a close friend gave me.

i've been reluctant to use them on much because im a novice and i really don't want to kill these babies.

i'll post pics when there is something substantial.

Charas....i told you they grow fast.....they might needs some nutes soon....man the WS can take any amount of nute you throw at them....they feed alot...my little coffee containers ate about a half gallon a day after about 14 days....i think the cantainers arent even a gallon....just to give you an idea.have fun i still have a few of these beans in my drawer.

well, killa makes it sound like these plants can take anything.
i like that...maybe i'll have some luck.

well, like i said before, im a novice and if these plants truly do need the nutes at this point then i want some assistance.

like i also said before, i have a BUNCH of gen hydro prods.
Heres the list of what i think i might be able to use at this point.
thanks in advance to any advice...

General Hydroponics:

Florablend Vegan Compost Tea (0.5-1-1) - bio microorganisms, sea weed, etc...

B]FLora Series[/B] Nutes: could I use the Micro (5-0-1) and the Grow (2-1-6) right now maybe?

FloraNova Grow Nutes:perhaps this (7-4-10) instead of the regular Flora Series?

also i have some advanced stuff im not sure of...

Humboldt Nutrients:

Myco Madness : mycorrhizal fungi - don't know much about this except that its expensive and can maximize rooting.

Humboldt Roots : (i copied the following from their website)

Humboldt Roots is a highly concentrated organic root stimulant that expands the root zone during the critical growth stage.

i really dont know kinda seedling soil you are using but the lime that is added only lasts a few days.....watch out for the ph....it will drop on you quick..contiually check the run off because after about 6 days it can drop into the 5ish range..

i really dont think they need nutes yet...but the normal 2 weeks of no nutes might wanna be changed for this strain....i ran this in passive hydro so i dont really have advice on nutes for the soil but im sure someone with better soil expertise will chime in..in passive hydro i started feeding them after 4 days from seed around 600 ppm on a .5 ppm meter with not one leaf being burnt....not even the little round baby leafs.

Charas

the sprouts are the WL WS. nothing really substantial except that they're ALIVE.

and i put up two bagseed pics that have been growing just shy of two weeks with mild nutes from the selection above.
I used a very mild mix of FloraNova Grow and the compost tea, i think i might have even added a little root stimulant in there too. they look to be doing fine so far w/ the nutes.

I really just don't want to kill these WS babies nor, on the other hand do i want to under nourish them.

What kinda soil are you using? The plants either look like they are just waking up or a tad overwatered. Any how nice log you got going here! Good luck i cant wait to grow this strain again.....too many beans so little time!

Charas

they are in desperate need of transplanting.

waiting on some new containers to arrive...

Charas

here they are one day after transplanting.

noticing some very odd, weird shaped leaves...could this be genetics? :wtf:

Charas

just five days after this much needed transplant the skunks bounced back with a vengeance.

noticing very rapid growth all around (they don't even look like the same plants).

the third pic below shows one of the mutant leaves.

i don't know what is wrong with this one...maybe a nitrogen def?

these babies are doing great!

three of them are showing female parts...and none are showing male...yet

they are definitely putting on the inches. ill have some new pics up soon.

also, i haven't been able to find out much about this strain. There are minimal grow logs out there and not much info on its history or genetics.
anyone?...

There is some various info scattered amongst the web...also go to sensi website/forums/white label.....or sign up and use the search function....

i think it was a cross b/w White widow and super skunk....not sure thou......i know it wasnt skunk #1. good luck on the info.

Charas

Well, after a little online investigation i've found there is a strain that goes by the same name, claiming its genetic heritage consists of TrainWreck x Shiva, and flowers in about 9 weeks.

Although that sounds appetizing im not entirely sure that it was White Label white skunk in the pics being reviewed.

After reading, im fairly certain that the WL WS was bred from commercially available dutch SuperSkunk x White Widow.

...new growth
and before anyone asks..the straw serves no purpose other than marking a plant that got some FloraNova-Grow a couple of days ago.
i can see a lot of diversity within this genotype.

the skunks have been growing FAST and eating a LOT. I've been seeing about 1/2" of growth per day for the past week or so.

I really needed the space in that veg cab for some rooted clones (unknown sativa) so i put three of the skunks into the flowering room today. two of them are girls and the other one i am unsure of but am fearing its male.

I took a couple of clones from each of the four skunks that are still in veg to hopefully determine their sex. ill put some pics up in a few days when these girls are showing pistils

Charas
11-19-2008, 06:56 AM
Okay, apologies for not showing you more of the veg but here is what i have..

4/7 ended up female so i cloned the hell out of all four...those clones are several weeks into veg now...they were tiny little girls when i took those cuttings but are now really starting to fill out.

The following pics are of two girls that are seven weeks into bud. They will get the chop in about two weeks. The one with two top colas was topped one week into flower.

The other two girls (no pics yet) are a few weeks behind these and are much more branchy. I wanted to try some different pruning techniques as to find out how to get the most yield from this strain.

As for the clones...well, it looks like this is my strain for the next few months. I just started a batch of nirvana's aurora indica for when i get used to this. I didn't keep a mother, but like i said, i have several clones of each phenotype. I plan on choosing a mother after i sample all four plants.

I will definitely have some macro shots up after harvest.

Until then...enjoy

Yikes! NIce.
Good luck with the AI, I had mine from Doc by way of Nirvana, don't even know if anyone else has AI.
But anyway, I got 1 female, outta 10 beans. Just bad luck I dunno? But I will be curious to see yours as the 1 specimen I have turned out to be a runt and I will be lucky to get much of anything off it. It does have a very distinct hashy odor, smells very spicey and earthy.
I have seen other grows with it, it looked awesome in other peoples rooms.:D

Charas
11-19-2008, 07:25 AM
skush, thanks for the info...so far i have four beautiful seedlings. They just got their second fan leaves. I germ'd 5 (all popped) but one was a total runt and i just didn't feel like bothering with it...popped late and barely grew next to the rest. I am searching for the 'purple' pheno in these beans. I saw one on a thread, it wasn't really purple, but was freakin' HUGE next to the other AI female!!

I'm looking forward to them, don't know if i'll do a log since i neglected this one so much. But we'll see...oh, and by the way i got my AI's from Gypsy over at seed boutique. I've heard mixed things about them lately...but they've always come through and then some for me.

Hey while we are on the subject, is Gypsy Nirvana that you are talking about a totally different breeder than the Nirvana Seed Company on Doc Chronic? Or are they the same? I am guessing not?
Good luck in any event.

Charas
11-19-2008, 08:24 AM
Yeah Gypsy Nirvana is some dude that collects seeds from all over and resells them. dunno much about him, although, i'm fairly certain there is much info on the guy. i think he may even head up icmag. and i know he is one of the founders of seedbay, or at least an admin over there too.

So yeah, different guy than the nirvana seedbank, which is an intro level seedbank according to their prices. very reasonable and seem quality.
