When did you plant them?
What's the strain?
What are the conditions they are in outside?
If they're not getting the correct Light : Dark time ratio then that could explain your problem

Are they near an outdoor security light?
You SHOULD be seeing the beginnings of flowers by now, and should be able to tell sex.

Eh, depends what ya got- but if you don't have pistils showing w/in the next couple weeks, ya might as well write it off- it won't finish.
Lotta stuff won't finish north of Mason/Dixon outdoors. On the plus side, you probabley won't have to worry about mold.

Thats all it takes. There is one of those damn things right next to my garden and every year that section of it is about 3 feet shorter than everything else in my garden. (not a weed garden) They have a serious impact on plant growth I've noticed.

the lights r not directly over my plants, not even directly next door. every nite all my plants go to sleep. and like i said some of my plants r in complete darkness at nite and still nothing

Stinky Attic knows what she's talkin' about
Light reflected from the side of the house or a fence, etc. will keep them from flowering.
Anything brighter than a full moon could do it.
If you can reach that light, some contact glue and a swatch of tinfoil just big enough to shade your yard might help.
Buddy of mine had an HPS street light right across the street glaring in his window.
Drove him nuts at night, but he couldn't reach it.
Average bozo would just shoot the light out and get in well deserved trouble.:)
He taped a spray can of black primer to a "fruit picker" pole. ran a string over the top and down the pole.
Climbed up on his VW bus, hoisted the pole and painted a small spot on his side of the fresnel lens.
Gave him just enough shadow to cover his window.
Didn't inconvenience anyone else.
I just love elegant solutions.
Good luck,
Weezard

Dude, Weezard, that's a very cool solution!
Mega, also consider shade-cloth or a tarp or even poking some stakes into the ground around your area and throwing a dark sheet over your plants at night.
Critical Mass is cool. It WILL finish up to 45'N lat (and probably further) IF you can get it going NOW. You've got yourself a classic skunk there, enjoy.

well finally some started showing sex, 3 female 12 males out of 30 plants with abt 5 looking like they are possibly are going to b male too the rest still arent showing anything. I was wondering can i transplant some of the females into the ground where i pulled up males or is it too late?
stinkyattic

You can transplant safely at any time. Take some time to prep the soil- break it up, even beyond just the hole you dug. If the soil is sandy or clay, add plenty of organic material like rotted compost.

mega pantience is golden, you should be able to transplant them no problem we do it when a suspected female turns out male happens most every year ,only grow 24 a year in the garden, so if one goes male :cursing: we replace it with a backup female as we grow for other patients :D GL :stoned:

YES IT PROBABLY IS!!! YOU CAN STOP YELLING!
We've told you what to do to force sex- give them proper night. That's the ONLY thing to force sex. There's no chemical spray or home remedy to trick them; they need the thick soft blanket of a dark night to get frisky.
