Question about Hookahs

When you smoke out of a hookah does it basically act as a vaporizer since the coals on top merely heat the substance underneath the tin foil, or does it cause the substance to combust?

trying to decide on whether or not I want to buy one

A friend of mine just got one this week and it's pretty nice.

Curious as to whether or not smoking out of a hookah is better for you

I would not say a Hookah is like a Vaporizer. I would say it is more similar to a Bong... That's just MO well either way they are really cool... Ohh yeah and it depends what you smoke out of it... Were I lie we have Hookah Bars w/ tobacco... I don't think I would but a hookah before I buy A Vaporizer. I have a few bongs and broke and replaced a lot of house pieces.. House pieces so they don't break Yeah wright just do not put them in the cabinets on the top shelves... LOL

The coals on top of the substance gradually heat it up which is the way a vape works correct? Thought it was kinda cool after I thought about it a bit

i can get a SUPER nice hookah for 50 bucks aside from the coals, shisha and any accessories.

Figure I might get me one. Vaporizers confuse me and are expensive, I don't understand all the different functions and air to smoke ratio stuff...

We have hookah bars too where I'm from, they smell SO good inside...

Get a vaporizer! You wont be sorry if you do. Some of them can be a bit technical but dont let that scare you off cuz there are also alot of them that are very easy to use. Id go with the herbalaire. Very easy to use and works better than any vape ive ever used (other than volcano). I sware by mine!

Not a big fan of hookahs myself. I've learned thoughout the years to take a look at the ease of cleaning my "tools"; hookahs are a bitch.

Dumb ass's that dont plug the hose when they stop hitting it. i had a 4 person one and when I had multiple friends hitting it, i was always having to reminding them to cover it with their finger.

I think they are highly desirable as a decorative item in your stoner lounge decor.

But that being said... They weren't designed to smoke weed, and aren't that simple to maintain, so when I finally find a nice antique one that I like, it is definitely going to be saved for only very special occasions.

I have my own hookah and I love it. I dont smoke weed out of it, but its nice to chill with some freinds and smoke some shisha out of it and chill for a few hours. We usually have a bowl going around. So yeah I'd say if your intrested in one get it.

Is it the fact that bud is dry and somewhat tends to stick to things that makes Hookah's undesireable for toking?

I just got a little mini hookah and the only problem is how big the bowl it lol. i just need to figure out how to get less air flowing through then it'll be perfect. as for using it for shisha, it seems like a good time. when i was younger at some partys i went to with my parents they would have a hookah set up and everyone was smokin out of it.

If you want less air flow try covering the bottom of the bowl with a piece of tin foil first then poke only a couple holes in that, put your stuff in, and cover it again

Well we had our little hookah up an running at this party the other night and let me tell you, it works wonders haha.

im smoking mine right now. Its a great decorative item (if you collect glass and whatnot) .... and it is really fun to smoke. You can take HUGE hits off it.....
It relaxes you too. Be carefull though, they can give you a headache.
I use mine as an alternative to cannabis....even though it doesn't get you high..it saves $ on green. try wood coals!
Its good if you like smoking, especially if cigs aren't your thing.
You really dont have to clean them either....Ive had mine for a year and its good as new.
remember, the expensive tobacco is WORTH IT...there is a noticable difference imo. It goes a long way too.
its also good for social smoking.
DONT put only weed in it, grind up REGS and spread it in the bowl with the tobacco. Make sure not to only put it on the top, it'l waste.

I have a one person one, and it is actually quite nice. We mixed hella nugs, and falvored shisha, together. It was like a 85/15 thing. 85% weed, 15% shisha. When you smoke it, itll seem like a small hit, but when you blow out, youll blow hella smoke. Just becarefull you don't knock it over, I had a friend who did that.

I personally like hookahs. I've smoked both marijuana and hookah tobacco out of them. I have some Arabic friends where I used to live that introduced me to them, so I introduced them to ganj. A mixture of hookah tobacco and ganj is a definite outstanding high. but nonetheless, whether you cover it over with foil and use coals or just simply throw it in the bowl and light it up, it's a good quick way to get high and blaze on about a quarters worth of God's great creation.

The only difference to me is that, regardless of water, if you light it up yourself without using the coals, it seems a little harsher than if you were to use coals, but it could just be me.

Well, considering that every time I've ever smoked out of a hookah, the weed turned to ash, I'm going to say that it does in no way work as a vaporizer. It is, however, neat to smoke out of and feels alot better.


Bitch to clean though.
