Hello and welcome to my new grow log. This is my 2nd cycle of Nirvana's "Bubblelicious".

I'm growing in a small cabinet, about 2'W x 2'D x 3'H. Lighting is a T5 fixture, 110W. I also ordered a LED panel for 40 bucks, and will be adding that in a few days. Hoping to increase my yield from the last grow, which came out to be about an ounce and a half.

Last grow I used the same exact nutrients (grow big for veg, ageold bloom for flowering), and the same soil (newage - a type they make locally). For some reason this time around my plants have some discoloration on the older leaves - which I tried to capture in the pictures below. If anyone has any ideas what it could be (keep in mind everything is identical to last grow, which went from start to finish with no problems), please let me know.

bomb, I'm glad to see you again, although Chuck still scares the beef stew out of me! I've got a Bubblelicious brewing out on the pool deck - she's about 2 days into veg, just a lil' sprout at this point. I hope I have the same luck as you! I know you are still enjoying your BBL from the last grow.

As for your spots, I can't help you. If I had to venture a guess, I would say it sort of looks like nute burn, especially since all of them seem to have it on the same set of lower leaves. Maybe flush a bit and dial the nutes back some? As I said, wait for someone else with true experience and knowledge to provide you a real diagnosis, but I wanted to throw my 2 bits on the table.

Well i let smart people go with verdicts shovel is a wise man from what i have read, and shovel thanks for the advice about letting nature take its walk :D
Anyways i have not heard about a flush hurting plants unless you do it too often. But i would suggest thinking about what shovel said maybe try and ask stinkyaddict? and then do ph meassure on the runoff and from a flush, i personaly flush my plants bi-weekly and have yet to see any problems with it.
Again i must enforce that you ask the wisest people you can find

I am going to flush them today when the lights come on. Thanks for the quick responses guys, I really hope that it doesn't spread upwards through the plant.

Hey Bomb, Looking Great!!!! Hey your problem with those spots was my exact problem at the start of my NYCD. I also thought it was a MG problem.. Except it ended up being burn spots from my T5! yes it happens! move the lamps up and the new growth will come in fine. but the old leaves will be like that! Good Luck!!! Im subscribing!

bomb....haven't seen this log...feel free to come in mine and tell me you started one! Looks like Ph lock-out to me...have had it a couple times...go check my episode 3 log, and compare pics. Trust me man, you need a ph tester. I fought it for a while too, lol.

The problem seems to have stopped. All the new leaves are fine :)

FLOWERING DAY 5

My little LED panel finally arrived yesterday so I got it hung today. I couldnt really figure out how to implement it in my little space, so I did what I could.

Plants seeem healthier now.

eh...those panels suck man...we had one of those on our first grow, couldn't keep a dad alive for 4 days...sorry man..
plants look healthy though, good thing you got it for supplemental light, it might help..

Well, the LED panel can't hurt. Temps are the same, I dont see the drawback here!

DAY 7

Just a quick update today - plants are growing nicely. One of them (the one on the far left) is a monster with a HUGE main stem that the pictures just dont capture.

I had just LST'd the one on the far right for the first time about 5 minutes before I took this picture. It'll probably be facing up again in a few hours.

Day 15 Flowering :(

So, two of my plants turned out to be male. Then we lost power one day while I was at work and my timer got kicked back 2 hours. So this last plant hasn't shown sex yet for sure, but was probably delayed because of that.

Today however I have spotted some pistils. I have not seen any balls. I tried to get good shots of the nodes but my camera isnt that great.

bomb, your bubbles are straight up poppin'! Looks like you have this strain fairly well down, eh? Mine is growin' out on the pool deck at around 16 days of veg - it's growing at about the same pace as my Mighty Freeze, so I'm happy; but, it's nowhere close to your bubbles. Keep up the outstanding work.

Maybe you need to keep a picture of Chuck around your ladies - I've heard his picture will scare the sacks right off a male mj plant!

I seem to be pretty comfortable with growing this strain. Its robust, grows really really fast, and seems to be able to handle more than the recommended dose of nutes. Flowering has really picked up since my last update, and I will have some new pictures to post this evening when I get home from work. Pistils everywhere and not one ball spotted. (fingers crossed).

So, atleast I got ONE healthy female plant! And she seems like she could produce more than my bubblelicious from the last grow. I've counted 10 tops on this plant, not including lower bud sites.

Pictures to follow in a couple hours.

Flowering - Day 21

So far, so good. I'm on day 21, but I might subtract a week just because of my timer mishap (it got set back 2 hours after a power outage).

This plant is stronger and bigger than my last bubblelicious. It also has a stronger smell. Nutes are the same as last grow, AgeOld Bloom 3tsp/Gal and plain water every 3rd feeding. Keep it stupid simple, right?

Only thing I'm having trouble with right now is the height of the plant. Its getting tougher and tougher tying this girl down every day. Running out of places to tie the branches. I also have a feeling that Im "choking out" much of the large fan leaves during the LST process. Does this affect the plant during flowering? Should I try to expose the big fan leaves at this point? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Im not so sure about the fan leaves thing. I would just try to expose more bud sites. That Plant is a monster!!! im still kind of leery on the LST thing. Maybe doing 2 bends but im still leery. I have no idea why

yeah i HAVE to lst.. really dont have a choice. I only have 24" or so of growing space above the pot and under the light. gotta make it work. I think it increased the yield in the end, because more bud sites are up close to the light.

I may do that with my clones. I already put them into flower at 8 inches. but they were in veg for 5 weeks. I should probably just LST once or twice to have bigger yields. Damn it. I want a 600 watt HPS. :beatdeadhorse:

shit i'm really thinking about getting a 250W hps air cooled. I'd hate to buy it to find out that I can't handle the temps though. its a big investment.

I have been thinking the same. and just not use the T5's? I want to do it. but id rather pay bills off. maybe in another few grows ill have the money to splurge. Ive been splurging alot lately on my grows. and i need to chill out. lol. I just bought some bubble bags to make hash:stoned:

Serious ass-kickin' machine that you are, if I may make a suggestion, I would say try to expose the fan leaves, so they can continue to produce food for that fine lady you have there. It's my understanding that is the primary source of food to provide sustenance for your lady's bud sites. And, I agree wholeheartedly with you about the lst - I am a firm believer, as it worked miracles for my Mighty Freeze, essentially tripling her weight! And, I can already see it working on my bagbeans, providing multiple main-equivalent bud sites.

As for your comments on the Bubblelicious strain, I am beginning to notice the hardiness too. I overnuted all 3 of my lil' ladies, and the Bubblelicious and Red Colombian Haze took it relatively in stride in comparison to PPP. I've noted that should had some nute issues with his PPP, and it may be newbie mistakes but it seems to me that PPP is a bit sensitive.

Flowering Day 24

Took this big mama out of her box for the first time today for a flush and drain in the tub. Snapped some photos right before the flush, and here they are! This thing is growing like crazy - I'm hoping that I'm near the end of the stretch period.

I turned off the LED panel it didn't seem to be doing much besides adding 2 degrees to my temperature.

I think we may have found an HPS answer. I know you said you had problems with heat, but you could air cool this thing.

Bomb, I think im taking it back about the heat issue. I think it would be alot of heat. i spoke to the seller and they said heat isnt an issue. but i am still skeptical. Im actually thinking about making a cooltube out of a Pyrex bake a round. Then just buying either (from HTG) the whole setup of 250 watt and just incorporate the cooltube aspect. Or build a full cool tube including the bulb adapter, cord(DIY Cool Tube *Step by Step* - Grasscity.com Forums (http://forum.grasscity.com/general-indoor-growing/252020-diy-cool-tube-step-step.html)):sorry1:(Im not spamming) and the HTG build a ballast and put the ballast in a metal box with rubber linning.

Wow I'm excited for you anbesol. I can't wait to see what you can do with them. I also cant wait for you to tell me that you dont have heat problems, that way I can go ahead and buy one too!! But for now I just ordered a t8 two bulb system for side lighting. I figured now is a good time to add a little more lumens underneath her canopy!

Flowering Day 31

Lights just came on, so I took some pics! I just looked back at my previous grow and I've realized that I am a good week or so behind schedule. The plants at this point are devleoping fast but it took a while for her to start producing flowers. Hopefully she'll finish in tiem for my trip October 10th!!!

She is Looking so Nice. The Buds are starting to form nicely... This plant seems to look bigger and healthier then your last grow. The Agree the T8 will do a nice amount of lumens to the side. I just hooked a vanity light with cfl's at the bottom for mine. How many lumens does it say it will put off? Im really excited about the HPS, now im just wondering what do with the T5's I dont need 2 for veg. and if i want to use a 250 watt Mh light for veg i could since its a digital. What do you think Bomb?

Flowering - Day 36

Not much to report on this update. Some older leaves and shade leaves are falling off at their own will. I knock some loose when I water but other than that I let her do her thang.

The resin does look a bit better, I think because I haven't been stressing her at all like I did with my last crop. The size difference is substantial though, if you go back and look at day 34 of my last grow and compare it to day 36 on this grow... its sad.

Thanks lucifern, my last crop went 8 weeks. This one will go 9 - 9 1/2 because I had some setbacks early in flower.

8 weeks for me too on almost all the blue and bubble strains I have grown. Lookin damn good Mr Norris!

thanks! i hope it catches up and finishes in 8 weeks. I have to leave for vacation for a week starting the second week of October (sorry dont want to be too specific) so I need to have them harvested and dried by then. Its gonna be a race against time for sure.

Flowering Day 45

As you can see , we are running a little behind schedule for 8 weeks. I'd say 9 weeks seems more likely. Resin production is amazing though you should really check out the closeups in full screen. The buds are starting to get dense, but haven't really started the fattening stage quite yet.

The aroma is way sweeter than my last Bubblelicious. I can't wait till harvest. I think about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks.

greenatik ur the man! I love how my LST works out with a semi-even canopy. I could make it even height but I'm super lazy this time around.

Flowering - Day 50

My fucking camera broke today.. the lense doesn't come out it just sits there and clicks over and over again.. Pretty sure its rubbish. So I had to take some pics with my blackberry phone. Its 1.2M so I'm not going to be getting any trichome shots anymore. :(:(:(

Here's the pictures. I'm going to plan for a 9th week harvest, because my flowering was delayed by about 5-10 days. Haven't even checked the trichs with my microscope yet, they just dont feel like they're ready yet.

Harvest took place Friday afternoon. Buds were air dried for 72 hours and are now curing.

Total dry weight for my 1 bubblelicious plant under 100W of T5 was 26.5grams.

Not too shabby, just under an ounce for one plant in a 1 gallon pot under shitty light! Woohoo!

The smoke is great so far, considering its only been curing for less than two days. I wish I could take some pictures of the harvest but my fk'n camera broke and my phone camera just doesn't do it justice.

A big THANKS goes out to everything that has followed my log. I appreciate the input and encouragement.

Watch out for my 3rd indoor grow with a bigger cabinet and a 400W MH/HPS. TIME TO UPGRADE!!!!!!

Round 3 genetics will be.... something purple. Any suggestions?

Hopefully you can let your crop cure for a few weeks or more to get all it can be. Nice job with my favorite strain. I think I may try some Serious Seeds Bubblegum one of these days. :stoned:
