I have just watched a TV programme about an 11 year old British girl Sasha Benningham, who is a "child model" being groomed for the American beauty pageant contests.
I was sick to the stomach, this little girl was quite obviously being forced into this by an obsessive mother, herself a former as she put it "glamour model" for mens magazines. What also got me incredibly angry was her father as good as admitted that this was an abuse of his daughter but continued to put up with it to keep his wife happy.
She eventually got to the USA and was preparing for her first contest and some of the competitors were as young as 4 and 5 years old, surely this must be an abuse. The "mothers" I would call them abusers kept going on about how little so and so really wants to do this and her ambition is to be a famous model how can anyone believe that children as young as this are making these decisions for themselves.
There should be a law against these mothers forcing their kids to become adults just to satisfy their own egos and inflated self importance as well as fuelling the desires of paedophiles the world over.
When I saw these children dressed up in adult clothes (some were in swimsuits and bikinis) with their hair bleached lipstick false nails and eyelashes I can honestly say I felt sick to the stomach and there is not many things have ever made me feel like that, surely someone should be protecting these kids.

It really is a shame that our country has become so physically oriented. We're all guilty of it. Go the checkout lane in any store. You got an ugly girl in one lane and a good looking girl in the other. Which lane do you take?

Yeah that shit is flat out rediculous. Adult beauty pageants are awful enough. But, in the grand scheme of things, there is far worse abuse that they could endure (although ANY abuse is too much)

If you thought that program was disgusting, I urge you to NOT watch any documentaries on the international child sex trade. THAT, my friend, would turn your stomach. It is also not limited to 3rd world countries, it happens in the U.S.

While I agree, the outfits that they "encourage" the child to wear are wayy too revealing for that age and are extremely inappropriate... at least it is just to win a medal and some prize money. The young girls that wear those skimpy outfits in Asia or Africa are doing so to attract grown men for sex... to earn money for survival.

Either way, I am thoroughly grossed out now and hope the world becomes a better place soon. :stoned:

Anyone want to help out?? ;)
