This is the exact set up I followed below Spacing of clones, hoods(LR's),sealed, CO2 and I pray yield is 3/4's LOL and the soil's Depth is the same except mine are Rubber Maid's that are 6 1/2" Deep w/ minimum 5" of Dirt!!!

These are some of the other tips I've taken from Tranoble (And Others)...

Please if you feel medium may be an issue and have any tips they would be Greatly appreciated.. They are eating well and their is a minor issue now to a 3.75 area but yet seems contained.. The dirt I feel is not an issue for them yet because the other beds are fine...

I plant a clone about every 6 inches. Thats from each edge and each plant. A total of 120 plants per 4 lights. Some times I have extra clones and I just fit them in where ever i can. I flip them into bud when they are about 1 ft tall. If I wait longer than 5 days to flip them they just get way to tall. Right now I have allmost every plant staked cause they are all falling over. For how long I flower it depends on the strain. Right now with the strain im using it is 7 weeks but I could go 6 weeks no problem. The final height of the plants are about 3 ft tall. When I harvest I think each plant is about 40 to 45 grams on average. I hope that answers all ur questions. Good luck.

The table sides are built out of 2x6. The dirt is about 5 inches deep.

What spacing are you using? How far apart are the plants from each other? How tall do you grow them?

only 5 inches...!!!!

The space under 1 light is 3.75ftx3.75ft. I put 30 plants and hang 1 light over that place. I space them evenly. I Veg my clones for about 3-4 days depending how healthy they are. They will be about 2.5ft-3ft when they are done.

You should see how the roots are all bind together when I replace my dirt. I cut the dirt into squares then remove it.

We did that style once for about a year but in Hydro. 4x4 trays full of grow rocks 40-50 plants each tray. The roots were all tangled together but held tight to the end. Yield was fine but clean up was a bitch.

Dirt farming is to slow for me. I assume you use an sulfer pot then to keep the mold down? Are you also using CO² to speed things up? How is the air flow for the middle plants?

Well good luck you have some work ahead of you when you harvest.

I think using the box method is alot easier. When I take my dirt out of the box I cut it in squares then remove the dirt in squares. The dirt is bound with roots like you wouldnt believe. I allso replace the dirt after every show. * I never reuse dirt *

Good luck on your room. Ill answer any more question if you like.

My tables are up on milk crates. It saves your back big time. LOL. I dont have any drainage in my table cause I just water enough so that 24 hrs later they need watering again. I do know alot of people that use drainage and all they do if drill a 1" hole in each corner of the tables.

I didn't catch what the medium Tranoble was using is.
Is yours identical?
With a bed grow, I'd aim for a medium that is even lighter than you would normally run in a pot. I've never done a bed grow though, so it's just a hunch.

The Medium is Sunshine #1 Tranoble used Sunshine #4 it has 5% more perlite which I added a bit more then 5%... The feet seem happy so far. I hit them w/ a microfoil spray twice and 3 beds are now good... I checked the PH in all beds. The 3 good beds are at 6.5-6.7. Now the bad one is @ 7.0 same feeding schedule same medium the only difference is the foil spraying. I will post up a PIC 2morrow.. Thanks STINK GL

Next time you water the bad one, mix up your nute solution at 6.6 to knock it down to about 6.7.

I'm glad you're keeping it under control!

See if you can find any archives of BigPoppa's posts from the old AN forum- He was the king of constructed beds.
