I think most people stick to soil in cabs just because of pest problems that can accur when using a hydro setup in a cab. I have done a hydro grow in a closet that was 4x4x7 ft and I had a mite prob. I think it was cause the water attracting bugs.

My next grow will prolly be hydro, but not in a cab.

I dunno, thats my opinion

I've never had a really successfull soil grow in my cabs, All my best grows have been dwc.

if you were to do hydro in a cabinet, search DWC and try it, just make sure you do it smart and watch for bugs

Actually I am just about to harvest my 1st grow in my Hydro/Cab and never really had any big probs to deal with. No pests what so ever, really the only 2 issues I had was 1) move cabinet away from AC since intake was pulling cool air directly into cabinet and plants didnt like being that cool hehe and 2) a little bit of algae on the top of the rockwool cube but fixed that with a cube cover. just got our 30x magnifier today so get to take our fiest look in about 40 mins!! YEA!!! :D

Consider Coco. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work great in a cab. You get the quick grow benefits of Hydro without the complexity.
