Hey, I just finished my first grow and everything turned out great except I have just now started to see what I believe is mold on some of the buds. Not all of the bud was affected, but the bigger buds were towards the bottom of the bud. It is white and when i cracked open a bud some white mist floated out, I assume these are spores. I hung dry my plant for about 8 days and when I took them down is when i noticed the problem. The temperature was around 70 degrees in the drying room and dark but I don't know the humidity. I have trimmed the infected parts off as best as possible and left the rest out to in the open air and this has seemed to stop the spread of the mold. However, my question is what can I do to make this bud usable? It still smells very potent and the mold only affected about 20% of the bud, but I am still skeptical about what would happen if I smoke it. Is there anyway to sterilize the mold without destroying too much of the bud so it can be safe to smoke? Or is making canabutter my best option?? Thanks ahead of time for any advice people are willing to share.
