Ok this is my first grow ever, and ive got 5 seeds from the clinic, 2 Master kush, 1 Purple Urkel, and 2 White Widow. Im very smart and forgot to label which ones are which so i guess i wont know until they grow a little bigger.

3/5 seeds sprouted so far, 1 has died, and the other two survivors are a little under 2" tall and looking pretty healthy.

I'm using 2:1 Earthgro soil and perilite as the medium and watering with ordinary tap water. As for lights, i currently have 2 CFLs and am planning on putting 2 more in.

I wish i had a camera to take pics of them with. I am going to try to find someone with a camera but until then i guess this thread is gonna be a little boring.

That's a pretty picture for a phone!!!

But anyways, a few questions

What is the Ph of your tap water do you know?
How big is your room?
How often are you watering?
Do you have any fans at all?
And are you in a secure space? (Meaning no security issues due to people living there, or smell bothering anyone)

Ph of my tap-no idea
The closet is about 5'x2.5' and about 7' tall
Im watering them about twice a day, not alot each watering about 20 squirts from a spray bottle. I never really found a definitive answer for how much to water so im just kinda doing trial and error but they seem to be doing fine.
I have an exhaust(computer) fan, but nothing blowing air around inside.
Everyone in the house is 420 friendly!

You should water a little bit, then wait to see if you have runoff water from the holes, if not water more until you get runoff water. Once you have water you need to leave the plant alone for 2 to 4 days, depending on the plant... Check the soil by pressing it gently, be careful not to break any roots, if the soil is humid wait until it's more dry, this will help the roots to develop, trying to reach the moist everywhere in the pot.

If you water too much the roots of the plant will suffocated and the plant will "drop"... You can see that happen if you underwater too.

Hope this help you out figure out when to water !

Like i promised..i found a real camera..
These were taken yesterday (July 29)
The first plant sprouted July 13, and the second July 18.
The first plant looks a little yellow, but thats just from the camera. Its really super green.

Glad it is your camera giving that color!

Ok next do you know what kalvin or light color your CFL's are? (it is usually on the package and/or written on the bulbs base, it will say 6000k,27k {K meaning kalvin} or something like that. If not write what it says completly on the bulb and I should be able to figure it out).

Reason I ask is by the pics, if they were taken under the CFLs light, that is causing the yellowing and tells me you have the wrong bulbs for the growth stage. For growth you need the daylight or 6000k, I am assuming you have the warm white or 2700k bulb currently. You will need the 2700k for when you start the flowering stage.

I see nothing for kalvin but this is what it says..
120VAC 60Hz 230mA
FLE 15HT3/2/SW

Im sure theyre not the right bulbs but theyre cheap and i dont exactly have big funding for this sort of project right now. Ive been told they will work, they just wont be the best.

The SW stands for Soft White and is rated for 3000k. Not sure where you live but if home depo is in your area you need to get the cfl in the blue package that says daylight. Or look closely at the package where you buy them from and it will give the kalvin rating on it, you want the one that is closest to 6000k.

Save what you have you will need them for when you go to flowering.

Also you definetly will need to get a small fan ASAP blowing on them to build stem strength, and keep strech under control.

Awesome. I'll be waiting for the update and pictures.

I'm currently vegging with 156watts total of CFL's. A mix of both spectrum's will really help, so I've read in a few spots here on Cann.com. (A bunch of info here, just need to dig in the archive of forums) :stoned:

I based mine from that. For the most part. =D

good luck and Be Safe.

ok well still have no pics for you guys but a little update..
transplanted both plants into bigger pots yesterday
the first plant (one that sprouted june 13) is doing pretty bad, its about 4 inches tall a couple of the leaves are turning yellow/brown and dying. im assuming its from a nitrogen deficiency but not really sure.
the second plant looks pretty good and is about 7 inches tall, it looks pretty healthy but the leaves have a slight yellowish tint (again, im assuming because of nitrogen) and some of the lower leaves have brown tips.

oh and also, i was planning on flowering them once they reach 1', anyone have an estimate on how much longer until harvest?

Last night i installed my ghetto carbon filter and also picked up some blood meal for my babies. Sprinkled half a tablespoon(each) of the blood meal evenly over the soil so hopefully theyll start to get a little greener.

Well the bigger plant has reached one foot so im putting them into flowering..rigged up a blanket over the closet to rid of any light leaks for a 24 hour dark period then putting them on 12/12.
